Here is a content warning I saw at the Women in Revolt exhibit at Tate Britain. Posted at the entrance, it sets a tone and helps visitors prepare for their experience. If they decide the exhibit is not for them, they can skip it entirely.
It's been a week. But! We had over 50 people come to our family event! It's been my highlight. A well scaffolded event able to handle teens to toddlers. ❤️ #museumed – at Connecticut, USA
Visited the New England Air Museum - lots of information throughout the museum about innovation by teens. Great opportunity to make a youth friendly tour! (Families would like it too!) #teensinmuseums #museumed – at Connecticut, USA
Hey #museumedchat et al, anyone working with the National Park Service right now and willing to chat with a student about your work? #museumed – at Ridgefield, CT

Teachers, how do you teach your students about Connecticut's tribal nations? Meant to be used all year long, check out this activity from @Akomawt for high schoolers!

URGENT: Please contact Congress today to save funding for the @NEHgov. Today, the House of Representatives will consider an amendment to the FY 2024 Interior Appropriations bill that would eliminate funding for the NEH. Contact Congress at p2a.co/5noKi41.
The #HandsOnHistory exhibit this year was titled "Living of the Land" and explored farming in Ridgefield during the "Little Ice Age". Our preschool visitors made mini corn husk dolls and dried apple garlands! #museumed #museumliteracy – at Ridgefield, CT
Great to hear! We're developing a tour that includes immigrant stories - appreciate any tips and ideas.

19 years ago I stepped into my first teaching job. Fresh out of college, I wore a skirt suit so I looked older than my students..... Still an educator, just not in a classroom anymore! #museumed
That those of us who had certifications higher than Initial could keep it with CEUs or some such thing rather than lose it. I'm still an educator just not in a classroom and I value my certification!
Teacher certification in Connecticut hasn’t seen major changes since the 1990s, but that’s about to change. Please share your feedback. cea.org/teacher-certificatio…
Do you ever take exhibit notes on your photos? I find it especially helpful for dimensions because I can't remember a number to save my life! #museumed
Pick up this great book written by a great friend! Her second novel comes out this winter and I can't wait!
"At the time of her disappearance at age fifty-four, Ula Frost was already a mystery."
Self-Portrait With Nothing by @AimeePokwatka is now available in paperback!

Good reminder when writing children's labels in museums.
“Anyone who writes down to children is simply wasting his time. You have to write up, not down.”
