Wawan Rafi often refers to meandering river in the Hausa language. And true to its name, with every rainfall it seems to shift and change trajectory. This makes the engineering design of this bridge construction project masterful. Work is in progress and proceeding well.
Upon the completion of this vital project, it shall link communities such as Dokan Dan Bala, Wawan Rafi, Jahunu in Dan Alhaji Ward, and Kayarda communities such as Goron Dutse, Unbaryam and beyond, whereby farmer's agricultural products can now be linked to markets and community members shall no longer be cut-off from schools and hospitals to get the vital education and healthcare they need to achieve peak potential.
An honor to co-chair the @ECOWASParliamnt Joint Committee on Infrastructure/ Energy and Mines/ Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources alongside my esteemed colleagues Distinguished Senator Muhammad Ali Ndume of Nigeria and Honorable Fanta Conte of Guinea.
The ECOWAS Parliament summit in Dakar, Senegal explores innovative high impact financing models for renewable energy with emphasis on rural areas.
We have all the theoretical concepts in place and the political will is resolute. The time for action is now!
We did not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, rather, we hold it in trust for future generations.

Jafaru Ahmadu Zaki, the Lere APC Chairman Jonathan Shekarau and all our Lere APC family. From the depth of my heart, I thank all our youth, women, elders, royal fathers and religious leaders who are the backbone of our community. Significant milestone achieved on the ongoing GDSS Lere Computer Lab Center project. Alhamdulillah. One bold step after the other across our communities of Lere Federal Constituency, I remain committed to ensuring that our pupils have access to the the vital tools they require to succeed.
I am a son of a mother who studied dietetics in New York, who taught me that our bodies are a temple to serve Allah by being good to others. My father, a career diplomat and a product of Ahmadu Bello University where he participated in extracurricular activities such as basketball always had time for the family and was my basketball coach since I was a toddler.
My dearest Bappa and Mommy, through your quiet sacrifices, you taught me that true leadership is rooted in integrity and that the greatest legacy one can leave is the service of others. I am the the product of your prayers and a reflection of the values you instilled in me from the very beginning.
As you celebrate the 49th anniversary of your blessed union, I thank you for being my first teachers and my lifelong inspiration.
An additional two bridges are now fully operational in Sigau and Gamagira. I recall during the last campaign period when it was raining heavily and we had to turn back because the river made it impossible for us to cross over to Gamagira. I saw first hand the level of suffering the people of our heartland go through. Today, all we can say is Alhamdulillah for making our sincere hearts desire come true.
Successful project completion. Our beloved people of Unguwan Tambaya Lazuru and environs can now fully utilize their new bridge.
