Our new paper is out: We're exploring the intersection of electrochemical OAE and concrete waste recycling - turns out they're a match made in heaven. One produces weak waste acid and the other requires weak acid to valorize demolition waste!

These 4 regions are also shown below as individual examples. We show that the spread and subduction of the excess alkalinity plume is quite different at different latitudes. The loss of excess alkalinity in the north Atlantic is very apparent in the vertical profiles (iii)
We also analyzed the contributions of surface gas exchange (e.g. wind speeds), surface carbonate chemistry and vertical transport and show that all three play a significant role in determining the equilibration kinetics as the plume spreads over time.
