Rahul Gandhi is holding a mock Parliament today to impeach Gyanesh Kumar. With neither the numbers in Parliament nor the support of the people, he has decided to play make-believe instead.
Next up, Model UN. After all, that's the only way he'll ever address the United Nations. The people of India certainly aren't electing him as PM ever.
When democracy won't give you the job, there's always extracurricular activity like this!
But never forgot @RahulGandhi democratically elected Parliament of India is supreme and this play-act will have no impact!

🧵 THREAD | PART 3
Since June, protests in India’s capital have been reaching millions of people through Meta’s platforms. Instagram, in particular, has played a major role in pushing protest-related content onto people’s timelines, taking these protests to mobile screens across the country.
But how did this happen? Did Meta’s algorithm favour these accounts? Did the platform play a role in amplifying their reach? How did several newly launched media outlets and individual accounts gain hundreds of thousands of followers within just a few months? 1/

Human Online journalist Garima Singh has been receiving praise for her coverage of the Delhi protests.
But here’s what happened when I approached her using a fake email ID, offering her a project to create political reels for the SP ahead of the 2027 UP elections.
Garima quoted ₹12,000 for a single reel. She also acknowledged that she had previously made videos for the Trinamool Congress (TMC). 1/

I keep saying.. Rahul Gandhi has very bad advisors. They have no ground connect.
I am in the capital of the largest state where Congress is in power. Nearly half of voters removed from the list during SIR. Unprecedented!!
If there was a genuine grievance, lakhs would be on streets. There would be anger everywhere. It would have been a national or international news. Even a senior Congress Minister Satish Jarkihoki, who has excellent ground connect with SC/ST sections of the population, gave a clean chit to the SIR process. That should have woken up Priyanka and Rahul... but alas they are more closer to an inexperienced Communist Neha Bora, than seasoned Congress mass leaders 😔
People of Bengaluru are just fine. I see it everywhere. Some irritation for people who have to give documents again, but overall people are busy with Ganapati, Dasara, and soon Rajyotsava and Deepawali. No one is even mentioning Gyanesh Kumar or other ECI names. Every road has lost nearly half the voters, and this has never happened in the history of India! But general public has understood why.. they aren't angry.
And no matter how many protest marches Rahul Gandhi does.. however many reels his team creates.. however many hours of TV coverage internationally he manages to get.. the common Indians on the streets of Bengaluru aren't responding to him. Worse, they are talking about why Congress lost all seats in the recent MLC election which was held via ballot papers.
The biggest mistake any politician can do is to try to manufacture anger, when there is none.. it failed earlier, will fail again, no matter how grand a protest hype is..
People are more angry at the garbage problem, milk price hike, roads dug up, overcrowded buses etc.. But definitely not Gyanesh Kumar. But who can tell that to Rahul? 🙄

Is this your standard of secularism, The New Indian Express? 🤡
The same newspaper, the same journalist, but two completely different narratives. What a convenient way to practise “secularism”! Pick your narrative, preach your values, and call it journalism.
The New Indian Express, is this kind of journalism worthy of your reputation? What exactly are you trying to prove with these blatant double standards?

Waah Neha, Wah! absolute masterclass in selective memory.
First of all, Unlike leftists in India who are loyal to China, President Lula is loyal to his country.
Modi calls Lula “my dear friend” because even a Brazilian leftist has shown more respect for India’s interests than our homegrown ones.
Lula doesn’t call every Indian security decision “fascism,” doesn’t celebrate every setback to the country, and doesn’t treat nationalism like a dirty word.
Communists in India meanwhile, will scream “anti-national” the moment you build a highway, then immediately hop into their 60-lakh Camrys and cruise on the same road they opposed.

1. How China is playing its role in protests in India via its ideological partners and proxies.
When Abhijeet Dipke came to India, he made his first call to CPIM leader Brinda Karat.
She is the aunt of Vijay Prashad, who was also behind the riots in France.

My second question to @ptrmadurai: CAG report for smart city (page 17) directly accuses Tamil Nadu govt for misappropriating smart city funds.
The CAG report says the central funds to a tune of Rs 1127 crore were diverted to personal deposit account of state departments during July and Oct 2021 during your period as finance minister. It says this was done in violation to the guidelines issued by ministry of finance as smart city funds must’ve been handled by a single nodal agency. Their overall audit had found that majority of the funds weren’t even used for smart city projects.
The audit revealed that the state govt earned an interest of Rs 239 crores out of these funds, and did not also remit them back entirely.
Hope you can answer to this too…
. @ptrmadurai makes sweeping comments about media, calls journalists including me dumb. It was during DMK time where at least Rs 5000 crores worth projects were tendered out without a financial sanction in @chennaicorp and @chennai_Highway . @ptrmadurai served as the finance minister during 2021 May to 2023 May.
As a former finance minister, I hope he can answer to the people on how govt departments executed these projects without a financial sanction from the state finance department? Can projects be tendered out without placing them in grants and getting administration and financial sanction?
@chennaicorp has released an offiical statement saying at least Rs 1900 crore worth projects were executed without a financial sanction, which means, they were tendered out without the concurrence of finance department. They have said another Rs 1500 crore worth projects are there which have been tendered that way, and this raises the overall outstanding dues to Rs 3500. Dues for financially unapproved projects.
Recently Greater Chennai Contractors Association has released a newspaper ad stating the they have a massive outstanding due which haven’t been paid to them.
Adding more on this, highways minister Aadhav Arjuna further had moved a resolution in assembly stating Rs 2000 crore worth projects were tendered without financial sanction and keeping them in demands for grants.
Does this amount to a major financial mismanagement? Illegality? Causing loss to exchequer and does it raise questions on whether the projects were tendered out just for kickbacks? As contractors themselves have come out in open now that they’ve not been paid, who will answer them?
I hope you can clarify this to people.

The collective strength of our people ensured India delivered such growth despite oil price shocks and supply chain issues in the midst of global uncertainties.
