"[We're] all Iowans. I hope that Iowans will match the good sportsmanship...that we expect on the field from our two teams.” --Gov. Bob Ray
Please do not vote for any candidate who supports legalizing pot.
Having lived in Colorado, I learned of health, social, and economic reasons why legalization isn't the magic budget fixer some people claim.
There's a reason it has long been classified as a controlled substance.
Proud of our Hawks tonight.
Did I want us to win? Of course. But, we faced a strong team, and it deserved to win over 40 minutes.
Reaching the Elite Eight in a rebuilding/transition year is impressive.
Does @TheAthletic know something we don't in declaring a World Series winner on Friday night after Game 6?
How do you build a legacy?
You work hard.
You push your limits.
You realize that last year's banner won't win you anything.
You work together.
It takes a team to build a legacy.
Congratulations, @Gilbert_XC!
The 3-Peat Is Complete!

Go #GilbertFightingTigers in today's State Cross Country meet! Today's the day we prove it!
It's hard to "row" with consistently broken oars. Minnesota people can hate us all they want; we'll continue beating the Gophers and keep Floyd.
Go Hawks!
Ken Dryden is an all-time hockey legend. Yet, there was much more to the man than a HHOF career that included winning/tying 85% of his games played & 6 Stanley Cups. His 1st book, The Game, remains my favorite--aside from the Bible--of any book I've read.

@TwinsAlmanac @MNTwinsZealot Minnesota Twins management: so checked out that it made a tired, bland, retread slogan previously used by UW-Oshkosh, U. Guelph, the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, a random high school, and others this year's season tagline...
However, this is only the second-worst (or third, if I give "This is How We Baseball" its proper revulsion) season slogan that I recall. The Royals once had the terribly uninspiring "It's Here" as theirs. Even as a kid, I knew that one was pathetic. royalsreview.com/2015/2/6/79…

Awesome.
His Eagles teammate, rookie Cooper DeJean, ran 10.71, 21.92 and jumped 24-2 at OABCIG HS in Iowa.
🦅 Before he was headed to his first Super Bowl, Saquon Barkley was a track and field standout at Whitehall HS in Pennsylvania.
He only competed in Track and Field during his senior year. Despite that, he ran a 10.90 100m, long jumped 22-2.5 and threw a shot put 46-2.5.
