Denji had no means of separating Asa & Yoru, so his ONLY option was to make Yoru want to leave.
But doing this proved to Denji that Yoru actually valued Asa more than anything he could take away from her.
Killing Yoru means killing Asa. For Asa to live, he made peace with Yoru.

Yoru was literally defeated. Denji won, the fight was over. If he REALLY wanted to, he could've tried to find a way to separate her from Asa, but no, his dick comes first.
And if you REALLY think Asa would agree to Yoru having sex with Denji, you're a fucking retard

Finished rereading all of Chainsaw Man part 2 and I'm sorry man but this shit is genuinely still good in my eyes even despite everything I still love this series, shit was not perfect but I no joke grew a bigger appreciation for it even towards the last few parts

Asa reaching denji emotionally while breaking down his mental walls, forcing him to confront his buried grief by physically throwing up is such a beautiful & underrated moment

acting like part 2 wasn’t genuinely peak and was on the same level on honestly most of part 1 ???? okay sureeeeee these ppl just wanna jump on the hate wagon no matter how stupid they sound

Her backstory literally ties together her self-sabotage, savior’s guilt & suicidal tendencies. The conclusion of her backstory w Asa being “selfish” enough to finally let herself live despite everything Yoru did & her seeing herself as a “bad person,” is the biggest development +

Nah they right. Asa was so good but NO we cant have anything good, hell her fucking backstory was ass too. The presentation was excellent and was the highlight of the arc but it felt so underwhrlming considering she just had nothing from.CSM Church onwards

I think out of everything in chainsaw man this was the line that stuck with me the most. The thought that someone can disgust you so much that you end up caring for them due to them giving you hope is kinda beautiful

people about to take this the most literally way huh. honestly i’d say most artists take a lot of different aspects of themselves and make them into characters that’s why art is said to be a mirror to your soul, but that doesn’t mean they are the character
Tatsuki Fujimoto says his Method of creating characters is making himself the protagonist even with Denji:
"For me, there's just one thing: making myself the protagonist. This is because other writers have told me that not projecting yourself into the work will make it seem fake. In Look Back the unpleasant aspects of Fujino are things I possess, and the way Kyomoto praises something is also me. It was the same with Denji in Chainsaw Man and Agni in Fire Punch. When I write characters that aren't me I can't immediately think of the actions they might take, or it ends up sounding fake."
Not fully disagree, but by context both Denji and Asa have no time to think anything cause shortly after they're stuck in Aging's world, and i think its pretty simple cause Asa herself is mirroring Denji literally, thats how Fuji wrote her
