The more I reread Part 2, the more I feel Asa's story is a masterpiece. Similar to Pochita, Yoru also functions in the story as somewhat of a twisted wish granter. All of Asa's selfish desires are manifested through Yoru with no restraint or concern for the consequences.
pochita/yoru represent denji/asa's worst traits (denji's perpetual motion lifestyle, asa's repressed selfish urges and desire to live without consequence) and both end their roles in the story comforting them. part 2 is (partly) about accepting you're more than your flaws

Yoru didn't hesitate at all to run over a human. But immediately after this, she freaks out and swerves to avoid running over a bird. This is meant to highlight the desires that Yoru is acting on.

I wish we could have seen more of this Denji in Part 2.
I absolutely love when denji is in a fight and becomes absolutely unhinged. I think that's the only thing that gave him dopamine besides pretty women.

One of the few bangers I got related to Yoru.
Apparently Twitter can now sort your posts by popularity. What were some of your best posts on this hellsite?

Makima was not raised by the government. She is originally from hell, but followed Pochita to Earth after their battle. Makima joined Public Safety specifically so she could use their resources to track him down.

This was the only way I could respond to this person that left a reply: xitter.cf/ichigo_fate/status/211…
You say something that's completely false and then block me so I can't respond. That's cowardly Kishibe very explicitly says that Nayuta doesn't have Makima's memories, and Nayuta's backstory confirms this This idea that the Horsemen are immune to losing memories is 100% false.

In the final arc, we learn that all the Devils in the Special Division were followers of Chainsaw Man in hell. Makima had been gathering all of Pochita's followers in hopes that they would lead her to him. Again, this was the sole reason she joined Public Safety.

People mistake Kishibe's words here to mean that Makima turned out the way that she did because she was raised by the government. He was saying that without a loving environment, the Control Devil will naturally turn out like Makima, and the government wouldn't provide that.

Makima loved CSM and hated Denji. But Yoru never saw Denji or Asa as her enemies. Yoru is less of an antagonist and more of a morally black protagonist. She has - Equal screen time to Denji - A goal that drives the narrative - Character development throughout the entire story
this might be a Hot Take but like Yoru doesn't feel like a final villain unlike someone like Makima. I don't know why but like she doesn't give off final boss character, Lil' D had that more even tho her execution wasn't good at all. But yeah Yoru doesn't give that feeling.

Yoru actually spends the MAJORITY of Part 2 teaming up with Denji and Asa. Death Devil is actually the one responsible for most of the conflict in Part 2 Death caused - Asa's death - Yuko's contract - Eternity Devil - Falling Devil - CSM Church - CSM Zombies

Makima and Yoru have the complete opposite roles in Part 1 and Part 2.

I still find it funny how Yoru was genuinely concerned about her appearance.

Yoru isn't saying that she can't comprehend guilt. She's saying she can't comprehend ASA's guilt. She was telling Asa that she hasn't done anything wrong, so there was never a reason for her to hate herself so much. Yoru was trying to comfort Asa.

This is the same yoru that immediately just said she couldn’t comprehend things like regular humans do and has already shown constantly to misconstrue Asa. The fact she even fights denji at all and harms so many shows how thinly veiled those “priorities” even are.

One thing people seem to miss here is that Yoru believed that Denji was about to eat her. These were essentially Yoru's dying words. In that moment, the only thing she was thinking about was how she wished Asa could have lived a life free of guilt, only thinking happy thoughts.

Denji had no means of separating Asa & Yoru, so his ONLY option was to make Yoru want to leave. But doing this proved to Denji that Yoru actually valued Asa more than anything he could take away from her. Killing Yoru means killing Asa. For Asa to live, he made peace with Yoru.
Yoru was literally defeated. Denji won, the fight was over. If he REALLY wanted to, he could've tried to find a way to separate her from Asa, but no, his dick comes first. And if you REALLY think Asa would agree to Yoru having sex with Denji, you're a fucking retard

Yoru is evil by nature, but her connection with Asa and Denji was real. This was a genuine moment between Denji and Yoru. Look at the framing of this screen. The shots of Yoru's eyes being obscured by her hair is meant to show that Denji's words are affecting her.

I've posted this image a lot recently, but I feel like it's important to reiterate The story seems to frame Denji putting his faith in Yoru positively If Denji had tried to force Yoru to leave Asa again instead of giving her blood, her and Asa would have been crushed by rubble.
