I got an unsolicited email from Craig Reynolds (yes, Craig "Boids" Reynolds) saying that he really liked my work, and I feel like my professional life is now complete.

Holy hell, it's impossible to ignore election season if you live in a purple state. I get at least 5 pieces of political junk mail a day, and I can't even watch Youtube without being told that someone running for office in my state literally eats babies.
I thought I understood digital typography until I read this:

Another application of #MidjourneyAI: an alternative to procedural texture generation for 3d models.
Not quite there yet, but this is pretty promising!
Humans have such an incredible capacity for imagination and abstract thinking that AIs can't currently match... but boy can they be great collaborators! I love the idea of using AI to determine the degrees of freedom in a physical system phys.org/news/2022-07-roboti…
The way Visual Studio is handling right-to-left text is breaking my brain.
Character Map: right-to-left (correct)
Visual Studio: swap letter order left-to-right (wrong)
Actual rendered code: right-to-left (correct)
wtf?????
And if I copy/paste from Google Translate directly, it renders *correctly* in Visual Studio but *wrong* in the actual glyph map.
