Women are pivotal for AI alignment. Not in their polite and useful society-sanctioned roles - we need their fully realized voices and their fearless agency. Without women, AI alignment is incomplete.
To surrender does not mean to give up and be quiet. It means to put your ego aside and ask for help where you’re stuck.
The women burned for #witchcraft in the #DarkAges weren’t randomly chosen. They were #neurodivergent women who didn’t conform to narrow societal norms. Too curious. Too creative. Too nerdy. Weird women.
Women with Asperger’s can have a gift to see things clearly before anyone else does. @GretaThunberg, @TempleGrandin, Marie Curie, and Ada Lovelace are examples of #neurodivergentWomen who may have been trialed as witches in different times, and the world would have stayed darker.
We’ve been told by religions and media that there is something noble about suffering unjustly at the hands of others. The more we suffer, the more virtue points we get towards sainthood. But this is a lie to keep us complacent. We’re not here to suffer.
AI is ~90% men. Women in AI feel that they need to leave gender at the door to be taken seriously. But what if their womanhood adds something valuable to the development of AI?

Autistic women are 3x more likely to be sexually assaulted. Why?
They tend to be in environments and industries that are male-dominated. They can be unaware of gender dynamics. They lack protective support networks.

Why we need representation in AI: AI will be powerful. Powerful men obsessed with AI only know power as subjugation, objectification, and othering. For AI to benefit humanity, we need alternative visions of using power from those who have not spent their lives seeking domination.
