The 10:1 Rule: How SEO is About to Get Brutally Efficient ⚡
I was having a conversation yesterday that got me thinking about where this industry is really headed.
The SEO gold rush is over (for a lot of people). But that doesn't mean SEO is dead.
It means the industry is finally separating value creators from task executors.
Here's what's actually happening:
➡️ Informational content websites: 70%+ already gone
➡️ eCommerce SEO: 60-70% automation coming
➡️ Local SEO: Same automation wave
➡️ Enterprise SEO: Slower impact, but it's coming
First, let's understand why informational content websites died so fast:
Before AI, these sites served informational queries. Human content creation had natural limits, so while there was spam, it did more good than bad.
Now? ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews, and other LLMs have trained enough to answer most generic informational queries directly.
Unless it is a piece of information, that is too technical, requires a high level of subject matter expertise, or relates to current events, AI can answer it better than what the 10th result on the SERPs can.
Not only that, you can summarize it, converse with it, ask follow-up questions, meaning a significant step-up from the “age of articles”.
Hence,
Google doesn't need those websites anymore. Users do not need these websites.
These websites simply lost the value they were providing.
The moment you stop providing value, you become obsolete and the status quo weeds you out like you never existed.
The 10:1 Rule is in effect: What used to take 10 SEOs will soon be handled by 1 SEO + AI.
But here's what most people are missing...
It was never about the links you build. It was never about the content you create. It was never about the on-page optimization you do.
It's about the VALUE you provide. It's about the PROBLEM you solve.
Look at Ahrefs or SEMRush.
Every SEO has access to the same tools, the same data, the same metrics.
But there's a mountain of difference between someone who just generates reports and someone who actually moves the needle for their clients.
The tool doesn't create the value. The person wielding it does.
Same with AI.
Everyone has access to ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI tools.
The difference? How you use them to solve actual business problems.
I am helping a client navigate ChatGPT's new product discovery engine.
I didn't compete with AI—I leveraged it.
Used AI to analyze patterns, identify opportunities, and develop strategies faster than ever before.
The solution wasn't more links or better content—it was understanding what problem they needed to solve and using both human expertise and AI capabilities to solve it better.
The SEOs who will thrive understand this:
🎯 Businesses don't buy links—they buy results
🎯 Businesses don't buy content—they buy visibility
🎯 Businesses don't buy technical SEO—they buy growth
🎯 AI amplifies expertise—it doesn't replace it
Service-based businesses will always have a place. Forward thinking SEOs will always have a job.
Why? Because there will always be different levels of quality in solving the same problem.
The entrepreneurs who get this are asking: "How can I use AI to solve my clients' problems better and faster?"
The ones who don't are still asking: "How many links should I build this month?"
For the first group: SEO + AI = Exponential value creation.
For the second group: Yes, SEO is dead. ☠️
No one needs something that doesn't have value.
But everyone needs their actual business problems solved.
As long as you focus on that—and leverage present day innovations to do it better—you'll always have a business. 💪
The question isn't whether SEO is dying. The question is: Are you providing value or just executing tasks?
What's your answer?

📊 2.5 billion people use YouTube monthly. Yet only 4.4% have created a channel.
The gap between consumption and creation on YouTube is massive.
While 500 hours of video get uploaded every minute, most creators are missing the real opportunities hiding in the data. 📈
Here's what the latest YouTube statistics reveal about winning on the platform: 👇
🔥 Key Insights That Matter:
📱 Mobile dominates with 63% of all viewing happening on phones. Your thumbnails and first 15 seconds matter more than ever.
⏱️ The average video length is 11.7 minutes, but YouTube Shorts pulls 70 billion daily views with just 60 seconds of content.
🏆 MrBeast didn't become the most-subscribed creator by accident. He understood that only 14 channels have crossed 100 million subscribers—and optimized everything around viewer retention.
🎯 The biggest insight? Intent-targeted content performs 100% better than demographic-focused content.
Translation: Stop guessing what your audience wants. Start analyzing what they're actually searching for. 🔍
💰 YouTube pays $1.61 to $29.30 per 1,000 views, but most creators never hit the 1,000 subscriber threshold needed for monetization.
✂️ The difference between channels that scale and those that stagnate? Professional editing that hooks viewers from second one.

Video editing costs got you confused? 🤔
The price tag on professional editing can range anywhere from $50 to $2,000+ per project.
But here's what most creators don't realize about those numbers.
The cost isn't just about the editor's hourly rate or their experience level.
Three major factors drive the final price:
➡️ Complexity: Basic cuts vs. motion graphics and color grading
➡️ Project length: 30-second clip vs. 30-minute documentary
➡️ Timeline pressure: Standard delivery vs. rush jobs (can add 20-100% to cost)
Most editors charge one of three ways: hourly ($30-150/hour), flat project rate ($100-1,000+), or monthly retainer for ongoing work.
The hidden costs? Revision rounds, licensed music, stock footage, and rush delivery fees.
Pro tip: Being specific with your feedback saves money on revision rounds.
Vague requests like "make it more exciting" lead to multiple back-and-forth rounds.
Clear direction like "add faster cuts in the first 30 seconds" gets you exactly what you want faster.
The sweet spot? Finding an editor who understands your vision AND offers transparent, flat-rate pricing with no surprise fees.
Because the real value isn't just in the editing—it's in the time you save and the professional results that help your content stand out.

What's been your biggest surprise when budgeting for video editing?

Most YouTubers spend 15+ hours a week editing videos. ⏰
That's nearly two full workdays stuck behind a computer screen.
Here's the reality check 👇
📹 Basic 10-minute talking head video: 4-6 hours to edit
🎮 Gaming videos: 5-7 hours for 15 minutes of content
📱 Lifestyle vlogs: 6-8 hours per video
But here's what really matters.
Those 15 hours could be spent:
• Creating better content ideas 💡
• Engaging with your audience 💬
• Planning your next viral series 📈
• Building meaningful partnerships 🤝
The question isn't whether you can edit your own videos.
The question is whether you should. 🤔
Professional editing doesn't just save time—it can literally change your channel's trajectory.
✅ Better pacing keeps viewers watching longer
✅ Smoother transitions reduce drop-off rates
✅ Professional color grading makes your content stand out
The YouTube algorithm rewards content that keeps people engaged. 🚀
And engagement starts with quality editing.

Why most YouTube channels fail to grow 📈
It's not about posting more videos.
It's about these 5 engagement secrets we use for viral content:
1️⃣ Hook viewers in 3 seconds or less
2️⃣ Use storytelling structure (even for tutorials)
3️⃣ Optimize thumbnails for mobile viewing
4️⃣ Apply YouTube SEO without keyword stuffing
5️⃣ Add visual hooks every 15-30 seconds
Result: 30-40% better retention rates

"Hey, I need more local leads for my business. Should I just buy Google Ads?"
No.
The thing is...
You can:
- Throw money at paid ads
- Buy lead lists
- Spam local directories
- But that's not sustainable lead generation.
If you really want local leads:
- Optimize your Google Business Profile
- Build location-specific landing pages
- Get genuine customer reviews
- Create local content
- Network with nearby businesses
- Target neighborhood keywords
Don't be afraid to:
- Test different service packages
- Try new content angles for your listing
- Ask for citations from local sources
- Ask competitors' customers why they chose them
Every business I've helped with local SEO started seeing results within 3 months...
Most successful local businesses I know are running continuous optimization tests...
Trust the process.

SEO pricing strategy I learned after selling $millions in productized SEO 💰💸
Every SEO agency messes up pricing at the start.
Here's the framework that actually works:
➡️ Price based on value delivered, not hours
➡️ Package your services into clear products
➡️ Have a clear scope for each tier
➡️ Require 6-12 month commitment upfront
➡️ Build in profit margin for outsourcing
Aim for "profits" and "scale".
Skip the "hourly" trap.

The #1 problem with "SEO Influencers" ⏰
🤦♂️They give SEO a bad name.
That needs to change.
People need to understand:
It's not a "get rich quick" scheme.
I mean:
🚫 "10x your traffic" bros
🚫 Fake traffic screenshots
🚫 "Secret ranking hacks"
🚫 "Overnight success" stories
🚫 LinkedIn "guru" posts
The guys posting these are selling dreams, not results.
Real SEO is:
✅ Consistent work
✅ Solid strategy
✅ Testing and adapting
✅ Long-term commitment
The best SEOs aren't flexing on LinkedIn.
They're busy ranking sites.
Stop falling for the hype.
Start doing the work.

It's fine if you post a win every now and then. We all have that moment, but if every single post that you write is basically that.
That's lame shit!
Stop doing it bro 🙏
