Down with the UK state's accursed sugar tax (“Soft Drinks Industry Levy"). Aspartame, my arse! Bring back proper fizzy pop!

For the near future this account will primarily be used in a quixotic one-man crusade against the UK bandit state’s accursed sugar tax (“Soft Drinks Industry Levy”) and the subsequent lack of any decent fizzy pop in Britain.

They always threaten to axe this very visible stuff, whilst leaving the backroom pen-pushers and executive parasites in place. You could axe four junior journalists at £50K a year each, or you could axe one diversity executive at a £200K a year. Always seems to be the former…
🚨 NEW: BBC News has announced it will axe a further 100 journalists to save £5.5m amid serious cost pressures

I choose to believe Peter Gibbons worked at Wernham Hogg until about 1997, as their beloved IT support technician, before moving back to Texas to fill in TPS reports for Initech. His position in Slough was outsourced to Tim’s favourite computer geek consultant, Simon.

Those man-made fibres do light-up like a torch. I found this out at Scout camp back in the 90s when shell suits were popular. He should have joined his local troop or even Boys Brigade.
"Wesh! Wesh!" He wanted to burn France but he burned himself. Instant karma.

I swear Matt is a frustrated theatre kid at heart.
As much as I love being the contrarian, I must report that “You Can See Everything” is indeed an extraordinary bit of filmmaking. Just from a pure craft perspective, it is unquestionably a masterpiece. An effective and emotionally layered psychological thriller in the form of a documentary — and it holds your attention for 3 hours. I don’t think anyone has ever done anything like that with the documentary genre. And I say that as someone who has made two of them. Pretty easily the best movie of the year. It wont be to everyone’s taste but it’s hard to deny that, artistically, it’s a triumph. Other filmmakers in the genre (myself included) need to up their games. Meanwhile, Nathan Fielder — across TV and now film — has never made a bad piece of media. Batting a thousand. Remarkable.

I’ve said it before. Every guy I’ve known in real life like the one on the left has been mostly sound as a pound (dank as a Franc?)

Look up the case of PC Perry Lathwood. No sane police officer is tackling a BAME over lack of headphones.

If you’re a woman of colour in the Twenty First Century and all your credentials are from academia and the NGO sector then that is exactly the same as having zero credentials. Leftists think they can invent the Global Chair in Strategic Partnership at the Foundation for International Fairness, appoint an 85 iQ ranting maniac obsessed with stealing from the taxpayer, pay them for two Zoom meetings a month, and think that suddenly, magically makes them an intellectual. A 17 year old plumber’s apprentice knows more about economics than Faiza Shaheen. Being in the Blob only makes you an expert in being a spiteful, grasping parasite.
“Hello and welcome to Newsnight. Tonight, we’re joined by Faiza Shaheen, director of Tax Justice UK. Faiza is an economist and a Visiting Professor of Practice at the London School of Economics. Faiza’s previous roles include Program Head for the Inequality and Exclusion Grand Challenge of the Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies at the Center on International Cooperation at New York University, Director of the Centre for Labour and Social Studies, Head of Inequality and Sustainable Development at Save the Children, and Senior Researcher at the New Economics Foundation. Faiza holds a PhD and MSc from the University of Manchester and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from St John’s College, Oxford University. She is the author of a range of materials and publications covering the most salient social and economic debates of our times, including inequality, austerity, immigration, and social mobility. Faiza has over 15 years of experience researching the trends and consequences of inequality, as well as designing policies and campaigns to address the causes of inequality and exclusion. Her book, ‘Know your place: How society sets us up to fail and what we can do about it’ was published in July 2023 by Simon & Schuster. To speak over her, we’ve invited Winston Marshall, a podcaster and former member of Mumford and Sons. We hope you enjoy the programme.”

Does Simon really believe this is a clever point to make?
Except that the Southport murderer was born in the UK. Not 'imported'.

Of course this feckless, belligerent warmonger is “peace and security expert”. But his approach to civilian mobilisation seems to be alienation of the only groups likely to fight for the state in the wretched demographic landscape of modern Britain. With friends like these…
Preparation for the Defence Readiness Bill, which will be in the King's Speech? It will give government mobilisation powers - people will need to accept that they may be asked to do more if needed.

The quid pro quo for a cushy sinecure is that one ceases to be a rabble rouser. Or that always used to be case.

At this point, UK regime immigration policy is basically The Gathering from Highlander (1986) just with more grape than even The Kurgan could stomach.
Just seen the footage from that Arriva bus stop in the UK. Immigrants on the bus fighting with knives, full-on chaotic scrap, innocent people scattering to avoid being hurt or drawn into the violence. This isn’t some one-off anymore. Same story keeps cropping up on public transport, fights, knives, people not feeling safe just trying to get home. Drivers are dealing with it constantly. And they still want us to chant “diversity is our strength.” Give me a break!! Does anybody seriously believe that? When you’re watching this stuff play out at bus stops and on the buses themselves? This is Modern Britain in 2026, that’s the sad reality we are now in.

Actually would make a lot of sense for motorcycle licences.
I just had to replace a lost driving licence. It involved creating an account, downloading an app, about 20 minutes of verifications, scanning my passport and face, being charged £14, and giving away all my internal organs. Seamless service.
