Gowna crush Kingscourt to reclaim Cavan crown in ruthless fashion irishnews.com/gaa/gaelic-foo…
Gowna brilliant, prove themselves best team in Cavan since Cavan Gaels with third SFC. Emphatic wins over Ramor in qf, Crosserlough in sf and Kingscourt in final is a level of form we haven't seen in 15 years in the competition.
Cross in Breffni in Ulster qf will be huge.
“They were a good all-round strong team and you knew what you were getting. You were going out to play football but you knew you were going to get hit hard and fair."

I'll be talking about John Wilson's sporting career, including two Celtic Crosses and a 800m win over the man who represented Ireland in the 1948 Olympics, Johnny Reardon!
Also enjoyed great success as a team trainer in Donegal with St Eunan's College and Donegal minors.

It'll take a 3rd miracle from Mary to catch St Patrick, who's still the dominant force in club SFC/SHC history.
No of SFC/SHC Titles won
St Patrick — 110
St Mary — 82
St John — 65
St Joseph — 56
St Finbarr — 47
St Vincent — 43
St Colmcille / Columba — 33
St Brigid — 31
St Mary's end decade-long wait to win twelfth Sligo title
Robert O’Kelly-Lynch’s goal and seven points from full-forward Nathan Rooney made the difference for St Mary’s, who were the better side throughout against last year’s champions.
