Surely it was in better condition when it was given to them.

Leinster Rugby getting too comfortable in HQ? Especially given the sensitivities of his departure, to still have him listed in the Men’s team months later….

So what jersey in the Meath team are we giving Robin Clarke? Hes an incredible player. 2/4/5/6/7…..Huge win for Duleek. Looked up against it at one stage in the 2nd half but dug deep and pulled away.

From a retail perspective I feel horse racing needs a complete ground up rebuild of how it treats betting shops. On current trajectories independents are going to be paying close to €80k per shop next year. I’ve read recently BetFred only pays £31k? This is over 10x rent for my shop in Kilbeggan. IMO the much needed hard reset is not coming about is due to the presence of FOBTs in UK shops. They are the life support machine for a model that’s clearly dead. Perhaps the rights holders can fragment out Irish shops from their UK counterparts for a trial run on a meritocracy based billing system starting January 2027.

It'll take a 3rd miracle from Mary to catch St Patrick, who's still the dominant force in club SFC/SHC history. No of SFC/SHC Titles won St Patrick — 110 St Mary — 82 St John — 65 St Joseph — 56 St Finbarr — 47 St Vincent — 43 St Colmcille / Columba — 33 St Brigid — 31
St Mary's end decade-long wait to win twelfth Sligo title Robert O’Kelly-Lynch’s goal and seven points from full-forward Nathan Rooney made the difference for St Mary’s, who were the better side throughout against last year’s champions. rte.ie/sport/football/2026/1…

An excellent article explaining the huge challenges of trying to run a retail shop in Ireland. Expect many more closures down the line.

Those that work in the retail betting will have heard of the slow count scam. I know it’s something that still goes on to this very days. I have a confession to make. Back in my college days i used to slow count carvery’s. O’Neills on Suffolk street was my go to spot to hit up. Just saw it as a way to get some back.
