though i believe he could be a mix of repper too he basically resigned himself to living as a man and his identity since he couldn't physically transition

during most of the story he presents as a girl putting on a persona and it's not until later he reveals he's not actually like that and a guy (plus another character reinforcing the idea that he's a man in a woman's body) so i'd say that counts as some kind of girlmoding

could togata be considered the only girlmoder in all manga?

with characters like dragona joestar and kirara hoshi shows that the general public doesn't know how to deal with trans characters people turn their brains off when the topic is slightly touched unless the author makes the character look at the camera and say "i'm transgender"

you can see how malfoid has always been bullshit and an industry plant from the start because 8 out of 10 of the "artwork" people make are ai

tsukasa hojo was truly a visionary making a manga in 1996 with a main cast consisting of a trans male husband, a trans female wife and their genderfluid child + multiple trans side characters

i mainly post about trans male characters in my account so that's why i didn't talk in depth about the manga itself but yes it's good and cute and i personally enjoyed it here's the synopsis:
Poor Poor LIPS Nako is a poverty-stricken 21 year-old in desperate need of a job. She applies for a job at a jewelry store. When shop owner Ren identifies herself as a lesbian, the competition for the position evaporates, leaving only Nako. Ren asks her if her sexual orientation will be a problem, Nako sensibly replies that she's not interested, so she doesn't see any problem. The comic is a a series of 4-koma strips, and range from beating Nako's state of poverty to death (as in the strip where she's about to eat bread crusts for lunch and is mistaken for feeding the birds) and to Ren's privilege and her orientation. But never in a mean way. Nako's not entirely naive, but she's not entirely clueful either, which makes for a nice mix of goofy silly and plain funny.

eventually the mother finds out about him being trans as well so the wedding is canceled and the protagonists get together in the end he's also happy and managed to get top surgery and SRS 👍 i liked the distinction they made between being a lesbian and a trans guy too

he's set to marry one of the lesbian protagonists by her mother (no one knowing he's trans) and serves the role of the rival she doesn't like men so she's wary of him but upon learning he's trans she doesn't know what to feel though she only likes him when he girlmodes
