Worked in property management and I remember when this came out. Sometimes multiple changes in one day! Alongside other shifts (eg online payments, virtual tours, fee managers) we have totally abstracted property owners from the human beings they house. And it shows.

The property staff I worked with were some of the best I ever worked with! Kind, hardworking, resilient. I think many resented the loss of on-site autonomy and human-to-human interaction that these corporate shifts brought. Guess that was the empathy that needed to be snuffed. 🤷🏼‍♀️
