Trading bots are a topic full of misunderstandings and misconceptions. And the ones who really know about it usually do not talk about it. When I started my journey in this field 20 years ago, information was even harder to come by. So I decided to change that once I gathered enough experience myself. I already wrote about my journey into "normal" trading bots (kuegi.medium.com/) and open-sourced the bot I wrote and used for years (github.com/kuegi/kuegiBot).
Over the past few years, I moved from those bots (which try to catch market moves) to an even more obscure and rarely talked about topic: arbitrage. And again, not many talk about it, so let's change that.
One big disclaimer: I am not one of the big players. The really big ones invest significant resources into their infra to be first. Because speed is the most important currency in arbitrage trading. It strongly depends on the field, but in most areas, it will be really hard (aka nearly impossible) for a single "hobby" trader to beat them. So I focus my bots on the areas that they do not compete in. I never worked in any of those companies, but I believe I have a firm understanding of how it works. I had such bots running in niche areas where they have been highly profitable, so I know a thing or two.
Either way, my plan is to share what I know and take you along on the journey going forward. So if you are interested in this: follow along.
One more thing: I do not shill trading ideas or exchanges. There are exchanges that I use and like, and for some of them, I have partner links. I greatly appreciate it if you use them, but DYOR and take responsibility yourself. None of this is financial advice.
Today is a big day for me: after 3 months I restart the bot. Locally for now to verify all changes are still doing what they should.
If yes, I will have it run parallel on bybit/kucoin pair and one with both legs on blofin.
Not the first bot I run, but its still exciting everytime.
Last time this bot ran (throu the bear market) it made avg 25% APR. in the last stage bullmarket it was above 70% APR, but only for a few days. Cause I gave the bot reasonable funds early Oct 2025 (perfect timing, right?)
will be interesting how it performs in this market now. and how the difference between the exchanges are.
Will talk more about the logic in a later tweet.

the power of local bootstrapping:
I built this bot in my free time, so no cost (this was before AI).
Now I use a $20/month claude code sub as support for reviews, sparring partner and implementer (which I then review).
To test it on the exchange, I deposited 100 USDT cause IMHO testing orders, executions etc. only works with real actions on live data.
After 1 day of running it, including test executions, forced closing of open positions etc. The account balance is $98.84 . So all the tests cost me $1.16
In production it will (most likely, last time it was) run on a $6/month VPS in singapore.
So total cost of development + testing to be production ready: $1,16
optional for more confidence and speed: $20/month
running costs in production: $6/month
and this for a bot that will (most likely) easily handle $10k in funds (and more) and produce 20%-70% APR.
you guys remember when @nikitabier turned off the algo for a couple days and all of us artists could see each other's posts, and not just reposts of others' posts?!
wow, what a time to be alive that was!

I don't know if you realize what just happened.
Elon Musk is completely bypassing the State.
For 100 years, we've been told the problem is capital. That it must be captured, taxed, redistributed. With an army of intermediaries standing between those who create wealth and the people: ministries, agencies, commissions, bureaucrats.
Musk is doing the opposite. He's taking his capital and giving it directly to the people. One SpaceX share to every kid in America. Not a handout. Not a subsidy. A piece of the machine that's taking humanity to Mars.
And he says it himself: this is the first of many.
Mises understood this back in 1944: the bureaucrat creates nothing. He administers what others created, following rules that have no connection to the value produced. The day value flows directly from the one who creates it to the one who receives it, the bureaucrat has no function left.
That's what's being born right now. A new liberal world order, where the very concept of the State will make less and less sense.
The world we're entering is a world of abundance. AI, robots, energy, space. And that abundance won't come through the State, for one simple reason: we have a century of proof that it doesn't work.
Redistribution was version 1.0. Direct distribution of capital is 2.0.
While France is still debating how to tax builders even more, America is handing stock to its kids.
Pick your side.

The trading influencer sells you a Lamborghini in three months.
Reality is far less glamorous, and far more useful.
The maths:
Making money trading takes 2 to 5 years. Faster is mostly luck or a bandwagon. Slower means something is holding you back.
Part-time? Expect longer.

Scaling Zcash to Visa-level throughput requires a next-generation networking stack. We're excited to share P2Pv2, which you can try out today in Zakura!

If your Zcash wallet uses NEAR Intents, each swap you make adds your shielded address to a public ledger. A quantum computer could use this to link all your payments that share the same key.
In Vizor, each swap will get its own key to prevent this.

“A cryptographic proof performed directly by the hardware chip is infinitely more secure than a physical sticker.” @Ledger_Support
That did not age well... Frankly that's so wrong it's kinda fraudulent. _Obviously_ the UI is vulnerable. I warned about this years ago.
Replying to @HeyTaiZen
Hi there, instead of relying on a sticker, Ledger uses Cryptographic Attestation.
Every time you connect a device to Ledger Wallet, the software sends a cryptographic challenge directly to the Secure Element chip. If the hardware, chip, or internal firmware has been modified or altered during manufacturing/shipping, the cryptographic check fails, and the app will flag the device as non-genuine.
The Secure Element chip is designed to detect physical tampering and will refuse to execute unsigned code or pass the genuine check if extra hardware attempts to intercept signals.
A cryptographic proof performed directly by the hardware chip is infinitely more secure than a physical sticker.
In 2010, Polish workers cleaned the houses of British professionals. Today, Poland's GDP per capita sits above $43,000 in purchasing power parity terms, level with Spain and closing fast on France. That reversal took roughly one generation. This was deliberate policy, not luck.
Poland ran a flat tax on business income, kept labor markets comparatively flexible, and spent the 1990s dismantling the Soviet pricing apparatus faster than almost any neighbor. Capital read those signals immediately. Volkswagen, Samsung, and hundreds of smaller manufacturers moved production east. Warsaw became a financial hub, not a branch office.
The EU structural funds helped, obviously, pouring +-160 billion euros into Polish infrastructure between 2004 and 2020. Funds alone don't explain the difference. Ukraine received aid too. Poland built what mattered around the money: enforceable contracts, a functioning court system, and a bureaucracy that didn't simply steal the paperwork.
Respect property, enforce contracts, keep inflation credible, and capital flows toward you. Poland did roughly that for thirty years while Germany and France were busy building regulations that made hiring someone feel like adopting them legally.
The housekeepers became engineers, then managers, then founders. Warsaw startup valuations crossed 50 billion euros in aggregate by 2024. Polish engineers now earn salaries that make relocating to London feel irrational rather than mandatory.
Wealth is produced where producers are left alone to produce it. Poland left them alone just enough.
Another 10 years of this and people from the UK will be cleaning the houses of professionals in Poland.

Private Chat is now live on @openzcash (purpose is to become the support channel of the portal)
How it works:
• Pick a temporary alias. No account, no email, no phone number, no wallet.
• Switch on Nym. Messages are encrypted end to end and travel through the Nym mixnet, mixed with other traffic, so the network sees ciphertext, not conversations.
• One person per chat. Invites last 5 minutes and work once.
• Compare the safety code with your contact. Same numbers on both sides means you're talking to the right person.
• Each conversation uses Olm Double Ratchet, so message keys keep evolving.
• Your messages live in your tab. Leave or reload and the chat is cleared.
What we can read: nothing. Not your words, not your account, because there isn't one.
Want to hide your IP address too? Open the chat through Tor Browser or NymVPN (@harryhalpin).
Experimental pilot. Try it and tell us what breaks.
