Perry Village just passed the only data-center measure this cycle that doesn’t ban them. While a bunch of Ohio towns voted 60-80% to ban large data centers outright, Perry went 87% for something different: you can still build, but if you want tax breaks you have to post a bond covering the tax revenue and jobs you promised over 31 years. The ban towns will get none. The open question is whether Perry gets any.

Anthropic just filed to go public. I read the S-1. Some of this is genuinely insane... ONE CONTROLS THE ENTIRE COMPANY 😂 > $16.3 billion in revenue in the first six months of 2026. Up roughly 14x from last year. > $80.7 billion net loss. Although $72.4 billion of that is noncash accounting adjustments. Quite the footnote. > 900% net revenue retention. Yes, nine hundred percent. > A SINGLE share of stock gives Anthropic's seven founders 50.1% of the shareholder voting power. > Another single share lets an independent AI safety trust elect a majority of the board. > Public investors get one vote per share. Which sounds nice until you read the previous two bullets. > The founders pledged 80% of their equity to philanthropy. The S-1 clarifies those pledges are voluntary, revocable and legally nonbinding. > And then there's the risk factor warning that its own technology could potentially cause catastrophic or EXISTENTIAL harm to humanity. I've read a lot of securities filings. The possibility that your product might end civilization is not typically something you see in the risk factors. Anyway, ticker is ANT...

Strikes me this implies the company is certainly using customer’s prompts as part of the training data? Otherwise, why would it matter? There would be no impact to the larger system. Open to hearing why this is wrong.

This is a big deal for those who own older citations and fly single pilot. The rationale behind flying them just became much different when your pilot cost just doubled.
The FAA is pulling the single-pilot exemptions on older Citations. That covers the 500, 550, S550, 552 and 560 models: the V, Ultra, Bravo, Encore and Encore+. Once it's official, a single-pilot endorsement on those airplanes won't let you fly them solo anymore. You'll need a qualified second pilot. The CJs aren't affected. If you own one of these and fly it yourself, start working on crew now. Happy to talk through options with anyone in that spot. @HavenASG @flyinhighpod

AI5 might have just left the PowerPoint. Samsung is reportedly trial-producing Tesla’s next AI chip on its 2nm line in Texas, which means real silicon could already be coming off the line. First up: Optimus and Tesla’s AI compute. Cars come later. If this checks out, Tesla’s next brain has officially entered the hardware phase. @Tesla @Optimus / Writer: Annette, Grok Imagine Designer: Janné
Replying to @elonmusk
And thank you to @TaiwanSemi_TSC and @Samsung for your support in bringing this chip to production! It will be one of most produced AI chips ever.

Yesterday, I posted a thread about what can happen when you add a child as a joint owner on an asset and then you die. Today, let’s talk about what can happen while you’re still alive. Because that’s when joint ownership can also get interesting… 🧵

100%. Not to mention liability issues.
One of the things we say ALL. THE. TIME in estate planning: Stop adding your kids as joint owners of your assets. I know it seems easy, but sometimes the “easy” solution creates a giant mess. Here’s a real life example… 🧵

The group behind such hits as: “We’re All Going To Die” and “Regulate Me Now” are building a wet lab in SF. I do not recommend this.
ANTHROPIC BUILDS BIOLOGY LAB TO PUSH AI INTO DRUG DEVELOPMENT Anthropic has quietly established a Bay Area wet lab, moving its life-sciences ambitions beyond computer simulations and into physical biological experiments. The company wants Claude to direct laboratory robots with limited human intervention, potentially accelerating research into rare and traditionally “undruggable” diseases. Anthropic says it will focus on preclinical research rather than clinical trials, avoiding direct competition with pharmaceutical companies.

On Demand brokers are running promotions and dancing on the grave of ONEflight. Give me a break. Have heard first hand stories of 10’s of millions of dollars lost in deposits.
I tried to warn you indirectly. Gonna be a lot of people wondering where their money is, and it’s probably gone.
