With the recent surge of interest in our past releases, we'd like to remind you all that we will never perform a 'stealth' drop.
All releases are communicated well ahead of time, and we currently only have one scheduled: 'Athanasia' by @0xValent on Monday Aug 4th
Stay safe 🙏

desirable NFTs still mostly pump on crypto nerds getting rich trading magical internet money
it’s one source of demand
but in 10 years, it will be centi-millionaires, billionaires, and institutions trying to buy these assets once they are all well-distributed and in the hands of die hard collectors
i wonder what happens then
new. store-of-value. asset. class.

I get snarky comments all the time about posting buys of digital art.
Generally from degens who lose their stacks trading absolute junk coins/memes, ironically.
Being in the space for a while now, one thing is clear this crypto cycle. Nobody is building any real shit (there are exceptions ofc), because there is a faster path to riches building stuff degens will gamble on, and because let's face it, the use cases just aren't for the masses. Teams are just building novel forms of online casinos under fancy technical names.
The optimist in me will say we're just still a decade away. I can hope.
So when I buy digital art, I'm buying art, not tokens with pictures or memes with pictures. I am buying art from artists I have a human connection with and appreciation for. I'm being art I believe is beautiful, creative, and interesting that resonates with me. Art that creates an emotion. And I'm happy to buy it, knowing it might not be worth what I paid for it in the future.
In some ways, besides money (bitcoin and an early form of defi), digital art on chain might be the only real and logical use case I believe crypto has developed and is a great fit for. Doesn't mean you can get rich off it, buying art as an investment is probably one of the hardest things to do. But when you separate the real artists/collectors from the degens and tokenWifPics crowd, although smallish today, there is an organic and real community beneath not playing the casino game.

Nothing better than finding fine art gems during the bear, when attention and hype is focused elsewhere
I believe fine art on the blockchain - in particular gen art and ai art, will shock many people this cycle. Many think NFTs were a fad, and are gone for good. Even believers are doubting whether their NFTs will make a comeback, or if the previous art frenzy was a hazy and unbelievable dream, never to recur again.
In general my belief is that we witnessed only the first NFT cycle and just like after the first BTC cycle, afterwards many/most people thought it would not come back for a second. Many (perhaps rightly so) thought "lets wait and see if it comes back," before getting involved again.
Lets wait until liquidity continues to pour back into the larger crypto ecosystem, people move out of survival mode and the fight/flight/freeze PTSD from the traumatizing bear market and back into a thriving mode, and see what happens. My guess is liquidity comes pouring back into fine art jpegs 🔥
More broadly, most people (even most of CT) have simply not understood the core meaning of what the intersection of technology with human (and machine) creativity is unleashing.
It is, and will become, an artistic renaissance seen rarely in human history.
Just as it took many years for people to recognize and understand the power and brilliance of what Bitcoin is, so too in come years people will grasp what early on chain art is.
Privileged to be involved and participating with the incredible artists, collectors, and builders during this historic window of time ✨🙏
