Wallsend Boys Club has produced plenty of @England talent, and now Elliot Anderson is the fastest ever to reach 20 caps ⚡
ALT Split-style graphic showing Elliot Anderson as a young player with a Wallsend Boys Club trophy alongside him in an England shirt. A red pinned note reads: “The boy from Wallsend Boys Club becomes the fastest England player to 20 caps!!”
The unsung hero of the NE press pack. Enjoy your retirement, @DamianSpellman.
This was such an important goal.
Newcastle United were 19th in the PL, and in a seemingly impossible position, when they headed to Elland Road.
Yet they left the stadium full of belief.
Eddie Howe described the 1-0 win as a ‘turning point’ in the press room.
And it was.
Proud to again be running the Great North Run as part of Sir Bobby’s Team in aid of the @SBRFoundation.
The early detection and treatment of cancer is something very close to my heart, and the charity, which also funds research, is Sir Bobby's last and greatest team.

Please support Sir Bobby's Team and the work @SBRFoundation does in the North East to find more effective ways to detect and treat cancer.

The story of Lewis Hall and Newcastle United goes back to his childhood growing up in Berkshire thanks to his family’s allegiance to the club.
And, hopefully, there are many more chapters to come on Tyneside.
An outstanding talent.
Was at The Den the last time Newcastle United played Millwall in 1992/93
Classic game of two halves, and also a big away following.
What a team Kevin Keegan was building that season.

Definitely worth a read for domestic and European groundhoppers.
Also features my interview with York City's co-owner on the club's ambitions following the team's dramatic return to the EFL after 10 years in non-league football.

Heartbreaking news. RIP an all-time great, on and off the pitch.
Truly heartbroken to post this on behalf of the Keegan family...
It is with immense sadness that we announce that Kevin Keegan has passed away at the age of 75. The former England player and manager had been battling cancer and was surrounded by his wife and daughters in his final moments. Kevin, a double Ballon D’or winner, was a much loved husband, father and grandfather. The family would like to thank Kevin’s incredible medical team for all their support. This is a hugely difficult time and they are requesting space and privacy.
They say never meet your heroes, but I was very, very fortunate to get to know Kevin Keegan a little as a reporter covering Newcastle United during his second spell as manager.
It was always a pleasure to spend time with him.
Thoughts with his family and loved ones.
A few words on my good fortune to meet my hero, Kevin Keegan, as a reporter during his second spell as Newcastle United manager. news.sky.com/story/kevin-kee…
