Hey #cshlmicrobiome, check out @microsabz's poster (number 55) on how gut microbiomes from different human populations regulate the expression of host genes!
Exciting unpublished work in collaboration with @fluca2406 @mgroussi @globalmicrobiom #cshlmbiome

How do gut microbiomes from different hominid hosts regulate host genes?
We used a cell culture system with live gut microbial communities to find out!

Led by Amanda Muehlbauer, great collaboration with @fluca2406. Plus @lab_gomez @rogerpique & others
My number one peeve: replies to stack overflow / biostars questions ending in an insult to the asker's basic knowledge of the language, linear models, stats, etc. I feel the second-hand shame every time- we are all self taught and learning every day!
Elated to announce that I will be joining the @blekhman Lab! Excited, nervous, and extremely humbled
Feeling very appreciative of the UMN #SciComm lab! Went into the meeting not knowing what a storyboard was, came out with 2+ pages of notes and advice

We’re seeing a surge in COVID-19 across the state. More than ever, we need to take the precautions that will slow the spread and keep Minnesotans healthy. Wear your mask. Avoid crowds. Get a test. Find a location at mn.gov/covid19.
Its one of those days where I need to take a seat in the middle of pipetting 😅 #tubesday

Unless you are living under a rock or have already perished from COVID-19, you've likely seen a YouTube video making the rounds where a medical doctor (wearing scrubs!) purports to give COVID-19 advice. (1/33)

1/25 Part 1 - Why does soap work so well on the SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus and indeed most viruses? Because it is a self-assembled nanoparticle in which the weakest link is the lipid (fatty) bilayer. A two part thread about soap, viruses and supramolecular chemistry #COVID19

Is this where we are? Censor our leading virologist so his commentary will not be heard ?
