Tweet of the week. Outstanding!
Reminds me of when Polly dressed up as Sybil and pretended to be ill in Fawlty Towers.

A 500 ac farm worth £5m with past APR relief had no IHT liability now incurs a liability of 20% on £4m, a £800k bill, amortised over 25 years at 8% has an annual repayment of £75.2k That won’t work financially. Who’s going to break the news to their children that want to farm?

£1M farm value only reaches around 65-70 acres. So it doesn’t take much to work out the enormous inheritance tax that farmers will have to pay beyond that threshold. Most farmers don’t have spare cash. It’s tied up in the land value. This new inheritance tax band is devastating.

Don't clean up your dog's poo and get fined £1000. Dump billions of litres of sewage in Britain's rivers and get £9m in bonuses and regulator permission to hike water bills by 21%.

"It stinks! Bonuses for water company bosses increase to £9.1m despite sewage spills more than doubling." STINKS?!!! It certainly does, it certainly does, to high heaven in fact. dailymail.co.uk/news/article…

Nigel Farage made a rare trip to the House of Commons yesterday, to vote against the Employment Rights Bill. Good to know he feels so passionately about the need to deprive workers of more rights and protections. #ManOfThePeopleMyArse

Hey @TPEassist I booked this wheelchair space, and when I got on, there's a suitcase in it. Your staff on board told me to use another wheelchair space, not my booked one, rather than get anybody to move it.

Crikey. The #postofficeinquiry sees this email from a senior Fujitsu executive saying Post Office is still pursuing people over shortfalls using Horizon data. This was from May THIS YEAR.

It is the year 3000. Council tax applies on all colonised planets based on valuations from 1991. Or we could reform property tax. Thread.
