During my visit to The Hague, I met with the Dutch Minister of Defence, @rubenbrekelmans. The Netherlands are a strategically important ally, and we will continue strengthening cooperation between our countries.
Almost 300 Dutch soldiers are currently serving in Lithuania as a part of NATO’s Enchanced Forward Presence. We are providing all the necessary host nation support for this mission.
Among other topics discussed were the continued deployment of the "Patriot" air defense system and the importance that was present in our country last year as well as the need of a regional decision regarding the Ottawa Convention.
Today, we can’t afford any distractions - active cooperation and joint actions of allies are essential to ensuring a safe future.
