The recent statements of NATO, the European Union and the UK highlighted the troubling trend of increasing malicious Russian activities in cyber space, which form part of a broader, coordinated hybrid campaign aimed at undermining our security and unity. Hungary condemns these activities and stands in solidarity with all Allies and Member States who have been affected. Hungary remains committed to preserving a free, open, peaceful and secure cyberspace. We continue to promote respect for international law and the voluntary norms of responsible state behaviour in cyberspace, as recognized by all member states of the United Nations.

Russia continues to conduct cyber-attacks against the EU, its Member States, and our partners. Today, the EU is exposing not only Russia FSB, but also the wider ecosystem of actors Russia relies on to carry out these attacks. We are also sanctioning individuals and entities who support Russia’s efforts to target Europe. Read more: link.europa.eu/gDbhmC

New Zealand stands in support of UK and EU efforts to address a serious cyber threat. Malicious cyber actors in Russia – both state entities and cybercriminals – pose a significant cybersecurity threat globally and in New Zealand. Cybercriminals should not have safe haven anywhere. We call on Russia to put an end to its malicious cyber activity and act responsibly in cyberspace. gov.uk/government/news/uk-an….

We’re sanctioning Russia at speed and scale. Today’s measures, together with the upcoming 21st sanctions package, will add 250 individuals and entities to the Russia sanctions regime. This is our biggest round of individual designations since Moscow’s 2022 full-scale invasion, and includes also the EU’s largest-ever cyber sanctions package. The financial backbone of Russia’s war machine is the main target. Every measure weakens Moscow’s ability to wage war. My doorstep ahead of today’s Foreign Affairs Council ↓

Today, Ukraine joins the North Atlantic Council's Statement condemning Russia's malicious cyber activities. Russia's criminal war is fought not only on the battlefield in Ukraine. It also targets the critical infrastructure of Allies through malicious cyber operations, undermining security and stability across the Euro-Atlantic area. Such actions are a clear violation of international law, norms, and the principles of responsible state behaviour in cyberspace. These threats require a firm and resolute response. We are grateful to our Allies for strengthening Ukraine's resilience and collective defense. Ukraine stands ready to share its extensive experience in countering cyber threats, making our common security stronger. We welcome today’s synchronized "triple-sanction blow" delivered simultaneously by the UK, the EU, and the NATO North Atlantic Council. nato.int/en/about-us/officia…
