One reason I’ve decided I could never run for office is that I’d have zero ability to take people like this seriously. We’re $40 trillion in debt and you’re asking me what gender I think god is.
Talarico questioned by a voter about the comments on God’s gender. Talarico admits he was annoying. He’s charming and makes good points. He mentions that Charlie Kirk also said God is beyond gender. No wonder he’s doing so well. A great candidate.

Leftists losing their minds over milquetoast jokes they didn't understand but were told to be offended at, while laughing at memes about a husband & father murdered for peacefully debating college students. Outraged by comedy, amused by murder ...these people are deeply unwell

I'm really fascinated by this new MAGA theory that someone is likely guilty of crimes if a judge signed a warrant. The FBI had a warrant for the Mar-a-Lago raid. The multiple prosecutions of Trump by Dem prosecutors had judicial authorizations. Was that proof he was guilty?
Trump is setting a trap for Democrats, and they’re walking right into it. The DOJ likely already had all the evidence needed to indict Ilhan Omar (otherwise, a federal judge wouldn’t have authorized a search warrant this close to an election). If I had to guess, the indictments were ready to file weeks ago. The raid today was bait to get Democratic candidates on the record supporting Omar. “I stand with Ilhan,” “Ilhan is the best of America,” etc. When the DOJ unveils the indictments in two weeks, every Democrat publicly supporting her today has egg on their face. The trap is sprung right before Americans head to the voting booth. This isn’t even 3D chess. It’s checkers-level political strategy, and the Democrats are still marching straight into it. They really are completely oblivious.

Core PCE was cool because of telegraphed revisions rather than stronger disinflation. They changed the calculations from one made-up estimation methodology to another made-up estimation methodology. The hope is that the new made-up methodology gives us numbers we like better.

The AI cracks are starting to become very prevalent, and might be the reason both the industry stalwarts have started to flout the need to be brought under the state umbrella (bailouts?) and grifters touting nonsensical shit like infinite ROI. 1/10

I genuinely don't know what people think is going to happen. We don't have many adjustable rate mortgages anymore. Most homeowners are rate locked. There isn't a big wave of forced sellers. It's just the slow downward drift of markdowns meeting stagnant demand.
I don’t understand how the housing market can hold it together for long at these rates

Appreciate everyone for supporting my recent video on WoW Forever! I think visual cohesion is super important to a game like this, and I'm glad people are contiuing the conversation in a productive, respectful manner. The goal isn't to attack or diminish the developer's hard work, but to hopefully guide them in the direction that you feel fits the game better!

Everyone in govt is just watching this absolute train wreck like it's normal. The fucking insane statements, Truth social posts, wanton corruption, absurdly homosexual treasury secretary, cartoonish villain commerce secretary, tattoo MORON sec of "war". When does this shit end? The alternative will be LIBSHIT dems who bust open the border and pass laws against white people. When do we get normal people who don't protect pedophiles in office?

🥷 A LARGER "TREASURY-FED BASIS" a rising long-end is starting to fuel nerves within the fiscal elite, hallmarked by Bessent’s equivalent of “subprime contained” hitting headlines: “the [bond] market is in very good shape”. Bloomberg terminal bros better watch out. from a plumbing perspective, however, Bessent had good reason to try to brush off UST (U.S. Treasury) market fears. the Office of Debt Management’s increase in buybacks may have removed more illiquid bonds but, as regular Conks readers know, won’t stop the “fire” of ascending yields. this has also widened the Fed-Treasury basis™️: the point, not price, at which the Fed would consider stepping in whenever the Treasury runs out of small-scale maneuvers. it’s the point, not price, because unlike the major misconception that the Fed starts buying at certain yields, the Desk may only intervene at points when illiquidity from a sharp selloff in USTs threatens market functioning, when bid/ask spreads & price impact (the cost to execute, or in this instance, sell) widen enough to grow unbearable for most market participants ironically, buybacks widen the Fed-Treasury basis by removing bonds the Fed would need to buy in order to justify becoming the dealer of last resort. Bessent widening this further by taunting the market only made it worse, as after buybacks and tough talk (the latter almost always backfiring), few options exist to contain yields that don’t involve — an ever more reluctant — Fed this is not late 2023: the Fed Chair (especially the incumbent) can’t talk down the long end by hinting at the end of a hiking cycle, and the Treasury Sec. can’t backtrack from planning to increase coupon issuance, with coupon issuance sizes unchanged for years. lowering coupon issuance is also a no-no when government financing needs skyrocket worse still, since the COVID market panic, the U.S. central bank has spent huge amounts of effort to increase the barrier between itself and intervention. banks, using SLR (Supplementary Leverage Ratio) relief granted to them by the agencies at the start of this year, have been expanding their balance sheets and absorbing UST supply with ease, even in the face of elevated inventories consequently, without a major crisis, this won’t be the time to say a brief goodbye to RMPs (the Fed buying bills) and a brief hello to MFPs (market functioning purchases, where the Fed buys with the sole purpose of stabilizing long-end functionality, not yields (yet likely signaling that effect nonetheless). if the Fed won’t get involved in a hurry, the pain threshold for intervention is higher, meaning yields can reprice at much greater levels without a state bid emerging. without a clear Fed bid (and indirect Treasury bid), traders should therefore rely less than ever on faulty plumbing (never mind QE) to place a cap on USTs
