“Everybody is somebody in Snellville”
The Battle of Snellville. @Bwoodsports @SGHSComets
Heard a great quote today from a former teacher/coach and now professional mentor…”high performers hate being micromanaged.” As a leader, your job for them is to remove barriers, get out of their way, and make sure they enjoy what they are doing.
I used to think training your wife was the hardest client…starting to think training the preteen daughter is taking the crown
And some coaches will complain about the heat guidelines
I still remember watching the 2019 @DaculaFB defense clamp down on Gibbs for 3 qtrs…wasn’t until we started subbing that he got loose…he ended up with 130 yards probably😆😆majority of those on two plays late in the game

If you coach a spring sport and the last time they saw the S&C was December, you can’t blame the S&C for your team being “weak” or not “explosive”.
It’s 2026, all athletes MUST train year-round.
Especially if you have a qualified S&C!

My favorite part about spotting the clean is when you go from having one person in danger to two people in danger
Double the danger, double the gains

If a school wants to add performance training into the school day, here’s how to do it right.
✅ S&C coach
✅ Schedule whole teams in one period
✅ Head coaches present for their team’s lift
✅ Non-athletes get their own period. Only allowed in athletic periods with permission
Guess I’m gonna have to buy me a jersey this year @CoreyLevin62

The weight room is the most influential room in a school.
It’s not a place to hang out — it’s a classroom.
A place where habits are built, standards are set, and character is developed.
Let’s see if @OfficialGHSA does the right thing… Bluff Bears got screwed

And exercise as punishment kills! In our research 37% n=16 of high school & college football EHS fatalities were tied to exertion as punishment. Effectively the death penalty was levied for a perceived sin, ie, being late, poor effort, etc. Exertion as punishment is indefensible.
