Goats Head Soup feels underrated to me — the final chapter of the Stones’ absolute peak.
Sticky Fingers → Exile → Goats Head Soup was their prime, with Mick Taylor pushing them to another level.
“Winter” is an all-time Stones track.
Thoughts on this record?

#OTD in 1974, Henry Aaron officially became the king, hitting his 715th career home run, breaking Babe Ruth’s seemingly uncatchable record. Here’s my painting of the great man at County Stadium in the mid-1950s, based on the awesome photography of Hy Peskin.

Here’s your periodic reminder that Dale Murphy should be in the Hall of Fame. Remember when Harold Baines led the league in homers twice, won back-to-back MVPs and played a Gold Glove center field? Me neither.
