No. Socrates never said any of this.
He left no writings. What we know comes from Plato, Xenophon and others. This list of “symptoms” appears nowhere in those sources. It is a modern social-media meme, not an ancient text.
Plato’s Republic does discuss how regimes decline, but in a very different way.

Insane number of people in the comments saying that the business:
“probably didn’t know that she was Kelly Clarkson…”
Yeah, that’s kinda the entire point of the post, a business should treat everyone with respect and kindness.
Because that “someone” could be Kelly Clarkson.

🚨 CHRISTA PIKE UPDATE — OCTOBER 6, 2026
Christa Pike remains alive, unconscious and on a ventilator nearly a week after Tennessee’s failed attempt to execute her.
Pike survived two doses of pentobarbital after apparent problems with the IV lines. Her attorneys say both of her arms were left swollen, burned and blistered, and she has reportedly not regained consciousness since the execution attempt.
Her prognosis remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, Tennessee Corrections Commissioner Frank Strada has resigned, Gov. Bill Lee has halted executions for the remainder of 2026, and an independent investigation into what went wrong is underway.
Pike’s attorneys are now seeking to have her death sentence commuted to life in prison.
What was supposed to be an execution has turned into an absolute disaster for the state of Tennessee — and nearly a week later, Christa Pike is still alive.
