as a 19 year old, i think im pretty lucky to have already realized that money means absolutely nothing after a certain point
(+$100k to my nw wont significantly change my life, etc)
but honestly i don't think this mindset young people have is unjustified
theres so much fear mongering about the world right now (AI will steal your job, degrees are pointless, markets will implode in 2026, etc)
not to mention all the larping we see everyday on social media
but once you learn to zoom out + separate yourself from this, as well as understand how much you truly need to support your lifestyle on a weekly basis, you’ll have such an edge over everyone else in the world
you should still work hard and have a sense of urgency, but it wont be ruled by panic. instead, it’ll be driven by your own direction
