omg hate switching between US and European date formats, so many mistakes & now I'm editing, i literally don't recall which is which. 2024-10-17 is the only clear way. (yes the EU format is "more correct" than the US, by a bit: dd/mm/yy instead of mm/dd/yy - but neither sorts)
