Asked Grok Bot to build itself an Apple Vision Pro app. I now have interactive bots that I can talk to and place around my apartment.

An important skill in the AI era, next to knowing what to build, is knowing what to consume. AI tools are so powerful that you can absorb ideas and insights from more people than ever before. Knowing who is worth listening to is a very valuable skill these days.

One of my recent favorite AI use cases: asking it to try and break the stuff I built. Adding lots of data, long names, unusual emails, labels, etc. Coming up with worst case scenario basically. This is a vibe-coded demo, but you get the idea.

Inspired by this fold animation, I built an interactive study. Black screen vs. frosted glass. Scrub through the motion, slow it down, and see how blur, shading, and endpoint snapping change the feel. Try it: iphone-fold-animation-study.…

I used to liken product design most to architecture: the central challenge was directing people through a space within its constraints. Now, I see a closer parallel in carpentry. We increasingly build for ourselves, creating the jigs and tools that make both our work and our lives easier. It feels emblematic of a broader shift from a mentality of thinking to one of building.
Annoyed by trying to find where I can actually watch the thing I want to watch on the services I have so made a little app over the weekend to make this easier, wild times we live in.

Some magic we did at @FiguraDigital for Jolt and can't wait for the app to be live. Alarm apps usually look like a settings menu. This one doesn’t.

Dribbble did not die because of AI. It died because the community spent a decade rewarding screens that would never survive a real user. Who is building the new dribbble?

WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!?!?!?!?!?
Okay I built it! 🍰 Infinite Slop levels.io/infinite-slop An infinite and interactive AI generated live stream of slop that goes on forever and ever Anything that you write in the chat is generated next and AI will try to connect it to the previous video so there's an actual sequence and story line Idea by @marcantoinefon and @rehan_shei's original stream so I made it It'd be very expensive to run this so @fal very generously sponsors this They also fine-tuned the model that makes this possible for the first time, making Minimax H3 50x faster and as "Max" and it can now generate videos faster than you can watch them, very cool! Let me know what you think!!!! 😊

As a Designer, if you care about making well-designed things, you should surround yourself with well designed things in your life. You'll absorb more than you think. The watch you wear, your furniture, the car you drive, the software you use... everything you passively use throughout the day becomes a reference point, or think of it as a baseline of the standard you hold yourself to in your own work. And no, this doesn't mean only buying expensive things. Well designed doesn't necessarily mean costly, it just means well considered. Live among things made by people who deeply cared, because its contagious (:

For reasoning effort, use a picker (menu), not a slider. It's better for both UX and a11y. You see every option at once. One tap instead of drag and release. And when you ship Auto, it has no position on a slider.
