$23,000 in stolen Dyson straighteners were listed on Facebook Marketplace out of an Orland Park warehouse. The manufacturer ran the serials and called the warehouse. The listing immediately vanished.
Investigators raided it that same day and walked out with 46 boxed tools. It was not the first time. Earlier this year, the same Cook County unit pulled pallets of Dysons from Oak Forest, stacked with Nike products and about $2 million in freight.
This comes at a time when train thefts are back in the Chicago headlines. TVs, laptops, Apple Watches.
