The Sovereign Grant to the King doesn’t count as taxable income. Payments by the state to Britons, such as the state pension, carer’s allowance, contribution-based jobseeker’s allowance, and contribution-based employment and support allowance are taxable. leftfootforward.org/2026/10/…

The billionaire class are desperately trying to convince you the protests in France are because of "the muslims." They're terrified you'll realise they're actually about the billionaires.

Why does the Greens' "Zionism is racism" policy provoke such fear from the UK's political and media class? Because it collapses their key script – by emphasising that the struggle to end Palestinian oppression is against a racist political movement, Zionism, not against Jews. The political and media class are so desperate to keep advancing this script that they're now forced to defame the UK's only Jewish party leader as an antisemite to make it make sense. It doesn't make sense – can never make sense – because it's a lie.

Dorking dead. There are 366 names on this WW1 memorial in Dorking. When posh Generals talk about us making "sacrifices" to "take the fight to the enemy", this is what happens. Roughly one in four of Dorking's young men ended up dead. Don't let them do it again - it would be much worse. I took this photograph a few weeks ago and was shocked by how many names were on it. Dorking had a population of just over 13,000 in 1914. Based on UK demographics, about 12% would have been men aged 18–41 - 366 was about a quarter of them. In a war now, the "sacrifices" would be much higher and the UK itself would come under attack, possibly with nuclear weapons. The death toll would be unimaginably greater. War talk isn't glorious. It's insane. It's failure. And it's a deadly scam. If politicians want a conversation, it should be about how to prevent war, including through the kind of agreements on 'detente' and arms control we saw in Europe at the height of the Cold War - when our politicians actually talked to those deemed enemies.
🇬🇧 Are Britons ready for the sacrifices needed to strengthen national security? Speaking to soldiers in Catterick Garrison the head of the British Army warns Britons must face a “frank conversation” about the sacrifices needed for defence and security🔗forcesnews.com/services/army…

You can be as insulting (and tacky in your search for clicksn and engagement) as you want, but under Polanski the Greens won 587 local council seats five months ago, took over long-time Labour-dominated Councils, and helped catalyse Starmer's resignation two years after he won a landslide election. That has forced the whole Burnham operation rhetorically left and pushed the government to take (still plainly insufficient) steps to bring in sanctions on Israeli settlements. Now Burnham is trying to collapse local governments in response to a Green Party motion, which undermines his own rhetoric on devolution and undercuts his commitment to electoral reform and cooperative government. Burnham is taking the risk of causing serious upheaval, backlash and turmoil in response to a Green Party MOTION. A motion! That's genuinely insane - and illustration of the Green's power and influence, not the obverse. Seems pretty serious to me.
Zack Polanski has destroyed the Green Party as a serious political entity. He’s such a weird, deluded, nasty, and gutless piece of work.

Arthur Scargill’s plea for support at Labour Conference 1984 was in vain. Abandoned by Kinnock, the Labour Party and TUC, the miners eventually lost their year long dispute. The food kitchens in pit villages he referred to are now a feature of every town and village in Britain.

NEW: 🇮🇱 🇬🇧 Palantir has just OVERRIDDEN the Mayor of London after Sadiq Khan tried to BLOCK their contract with the Met Police. Khan dared to oppose the foreign totalitarian Zionist spytech company backed by Peter Thiel embedding itself into our police, yet Palantir somehow managed to get the high court to overrule him… Now they can bid again for the £50M contract. If a company like Palantir, that uses its products to literally kill and control people, can force our own politicians to back down what does that mean for society? Palantir is set to be embedded into British Police, healthcare and defence. A total takeover. @andyburnham this is travesty.

It is important that everyone who stands against Israel's genocide realises what the government is doing here. A major reason they want to scrap the Triple Lock is so they can send IRISH DEFENCE FORCES on an EU MISSION to LEBANON, where Israel has carried out scorched earth land-grabs - genocidal destruction - and refuses to leave. This will not be a peacekeeping mission. They are pretending it will continue our record of UN peacekeeping in Lebanon. It will not. It won't be a UN mission, but an EU mission. The EU supports Israel. It has covered for Israel at every stage of the genocide. An EU presence in Lebanon will help normalise Israel's occupation in Lebanon. They will pretend that's not the case, but it is. WE MUST HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. Irish soldiers MUST NEVER BE SENT to serve in Lebanon under an EU command. Only the Triple Lock prevents this. The campaign to save it must be a first priority of the solidarity movement. If we condemn genocide - if we claim solidarity with people in Palestine and Lebanon - we HAVE TO STOP THE GOVERNMENT doing this. We have to save the Triple Lock.
The Triple Lock is outdated and no longer fit for purpose when it comes to peacekeeping The legislation underpinning it was introduced in 1960, before the EU and OSCE even existed. In @businessposthq, I shared my thoughts on the need for reform. businesspost.ie/politics/tho…

Send all those reform / restore ‘patriots’, I’m sure they will be gagging to sign up…
British Army chief Roly Walker says "our citizens have got to consent to sacrifices to prioritize defense and security” The Russians are coming, he howls, while begging for a 3% increase in military spending as social spending stagnates or decreases Nobody's buying the propaganda: only about 1/10 British youth would take up arms for their country, according to a 2025 YouGov poll Britain has to be comprehensively de-democratized to secure the militaristic goals of its elite

This is a brilliant letter from the Green leader on Sheffield Council. Every local Green leader in every local authority where Labour is threatening to leave a coalition should do the same and make sure the letter is published in the local media & sent to all households. Labour will be decimated in the next local elections

It really is unacceptable that Phillipson is commenting on this in light of the complaint to the EHRC. Phillipson is the Minister who sponsors the EHRC. She just appointed six new commissioners in June this year. It is inappropriate that she is putting her finger on the scales.

The Labour Party position is that the ZiR motion is antisemitic and, by implication, that many Palestinian and Jewish people who support it are antisemitic too. People like Stephen Kapos, Ilan Pappe, Ahmed Alnaouaq, Ghada Karmi. At the same time, the Labour Party position is that it can't determine if Israel is committing a genocide. These are contemptible positions. Contemptible.

Labour are really showing themselves up. They're comparing those of us demanding an end to the genocide with Reform and Tommy Robinson. Keir Starmer may have gone - but his politics and our Governments commitment to arms licences very much remain. 👇🏽
“We have to call out bad behaviour wherever it exists.” @Len_Duvall challenges the Greens’ ‘Zionism is racism’ motion, Reform’s attack on Sagal Abdi-Wali and Susan Hall speaking at a rally with Tommy Robinson, while acknowledging where Labour’s has faced up to its failures too.
