Hey all,
For the first time in 7 years of streaming and 13 years of creating content, I'm taking a break.
This isn't because I've given up. Quite the opposite.
The past several years have been filled with injuries, surgeries, and trying to rebuild my streams and social media presence over and over again. I've realized that somewhere along the way, I've gone from creating because I loved it to creating because I felt like I had to.
I've spent so much of my days thinking about how to improve the stream and make it better, but lately that passion has turned into stress, and stress has turned into procrastination.
For over half a decade, I haven't really done anything musically just for myself. Every time I sit behind the drums or pick up an instrument, it's because it's for work, for content, to learn something specific, or because I feel like I should. The few times I've wanted to simply play for fun, I've felt guilty because it wasn't productive. That's clearly not healthy.
I think the best thing I can do now is step away for a while, rediscover why I fell in love with music and streaming in the first place, and come back with fresh ideas, new energy, and a clearer vision.
I've been afraid of taking this step for a long time because it felt like walking away from my dream. But I've realized that taking a step back isn't the same as giving up. Talking with other creators recently, I've also realized that this might be more common than I thought. I wonder how many others have felt the same.
During the break I'll be teaching music a couple of days a week and doing some personal training, but my dream hasn't changed. Music and content creation are still what I want to spend my life doing.
I don't know how long the break will be, but I do know this isn't goodbye.

so I decided to put together a charity event with @SaveTheChildren called Learn Without Limits.
It's built around a simple idea: we've all had to overcome a limit to get good at what we do.

To @Twitch and @TwitchSupport. I was denied entry to twitchcon and was never given a reason. After walking to Twitchcon Europe live for the 3rd time, spending over $10k and walking 550 km, my ticket was revoked the day before the con with zero explanation. You promoted my stream for the IRL takeover and I put "Road to TwitchCon" in the title as you requested. I am disheartened with Twitch and extremely let down. Please, I am just asking for some clarity here.

Reading the comment section on this post is interesting - it’s always made a lot of sense to me that the system doesn’t prioritize gifting subs to users who’ve recently received a gifted sub in the past. And except from that, it does seem to somewhat prioritize community members!

Holy shit the amount of spam an issue like this has from bots. Difficult to clear out what’s actually from people 😅
My 12+ year Instagram account was hacked and used to send scam DMs. People understandably reported the messages. Despite securing the account ASAP (pass + 2FA), the account was auto-banned. Appeal rejected by automation. Deletion pending. Requesting human review.

@djclancy999 @twitchsupport @Twitch what happened to more transparency for bans and suspensions? I just want to know what got the initial suspension and then what a team member saw to extend my suspension further? I’m too scared to stream cuz I have NO CLUE what’s happening.
