Each day of this trip is a unique highlight in it's own right. It's hard to top Spaceport America or White Sands at Sunset, but day three is always the most adventurous!
I love this day of hands on demos too! We get out the Giant Moon Map, and scale models of the Earth, Moon, and Mars to demonstrate orbital periods, communication delays, and more. It sure helps put the other worldly experiences in context... and to see other worlds as places.
"You don't know how many times I've been on a trail and thought goddamit. I wish there was a geologist here." We got you. It's @nasaman58 in action. 🚀
I learn something new everytime... and there are exciting changes underway at Virgin Galactic! It's great to be working with @nasaman58 again... and to have Richard Chute there from @exploreplanets! 🌎🚀🌘🟠✨
DAY ONE - The latest cohort of the Earth and Space Experience visited the @ChallengerCtr in Las Cruces and then @Spaceport_NM! Everyone was fantastic in their roles during the simulated mission to Mars, and gracious guests at @virgingalactic. #spaceeducation #spaceenthusiast
DAY ZERO - Yesterday was a travel day for me. It started with picking up the new @areslearning and Planex.Space swag, grabbing another bag-of-tricks from home (along with luggage), putting it all in Perry (the EV '62 Bug) and jumping on a flight to ELP. ✈
