I don't know how I will get there, where the money will come from to build Zola's Home from nothing. But I know why I started, and I know who I am fighting for. Every little life deserves a chance, a safe place, and the love they have been denied for far too long. – at Kleinmond, South Africa

😭❤️🐾 ONS HET GROND GEKRY VIR ZOLA’S HOME! 🐾❤️😭
Vandag voel daardie droom nader as ooit tevore. Ons het grond! Maar nou begin die volgende groot uitdaging… DIE BOUWERK! 🏗️🐾

I can only see it in my mind, but will I get there, so much money, tonight I have a big decision to make, R8000 per month for 35hectar, that is amazing, but will I always have it, will I ever have the money to build my dream sanctuary, there is NOTHING, I would have to start from scratch, I am always a risk taker, a big believer everything will work out, but if we sign the lease agreement tommorow it is for 10 years, am I taking too much of a risk, it is R16 000 to start off with, where do we get this, my Backabuddy only have R13 000 in after six months, it just seems impossible. No sleep for me tonight. Please pray with me for the right decision 🙏 – at Kleinmond, South Africa

After a 30 year failed experiment, and the interviewer still thinks that skin tone is important - political correctness in the press is sickening. With all the tools at their fingertips, they just don’t do their homework.
Evidence from WC delivery vs national records shows DA and VF+ strongest on jobs, audits and realism. MK/EFF nationalise plans drive capital flight and fail affordability tests. Current GNU holds but growth stays limp. Stronger DA-VF+ coalitions give the clearest path to competence and better living standards.

This story says everything about the state of frontline policing in Nelson Mandela Bay.
The Flying Squad had no working police vehicle available, yet two members refused to sit back while stolen firearms disappeared into the criminal market. They used their own vehicle and fuel, followed up the information, recovered nine shotguns, 15 rifles, two R1 rifles and ammunition, and arrested a suspect.
Instead of management first accounting for why an entire Flying Squad was left grounded, the members are now facing an internal investigation for using a private vehicle.
These officers are heroes. They deserve proper vehicles, equipment and support, not to carry the operational and financial risks created by management failures.
When I previously raised the fleet crisis in 2025, the Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner responded arrogantly in the media that SAPS would show us its “good crime statistics”. That response was dismissive then, and it looks even more detached from reality now.
You cannot hide behind selected statistics while a major city’s rapid-response unit has no working vehicles and the bloodshed continues. Crime statistics do not respond to emergencies, pursue armed suspects or protect police officers. Operational vehicles do.
We will keep fighting this fight. We will keep demanding answers about where the resources are going and why dedicated members are being forced to improvise simply to protect the public.
South Africa still has exceptional police officers who want to work and make a difference. They deserve far better from the system they serve.

They’ve received almost R500bn in bailouts from taxpayers’ money and now they’ve made R30bn profit… This while they also want huge increases in electricity prices every year to ‘cover costs’…
First pay back the taxpayers’ money and stop the increases and then tell us how much ‘profit’ you’ve made. We are being bullshit once again 🤬🤬

Remember Zweli Mkhize? Is South Africa’s criminal justice system actually working?
July 2021: SIU refers former Health Minister Zweli Mkhize and others to the NPA over the R150mn Digital Vibes contracts. SIU found the award irregular, his conduct “at best improper, at worst unlawful,” and that family members received benefits. Later evidence alleged further laundering through cattle deals.
August 2026: Still no criminal charges against him.
Five years. One Cabinet resignation. Parliament’s ethics committee cleared him. Civil recovery still crawling through the Special Tribunal. He now chairs a parliamentary committee.
A mid-level official who took R160k got convicted. The bigger names remain untouched.
If a damning SIU report, a NPA referral, and years of public evidence produce no prosecution of the central political figure, what exactly is the system doing?
Justice delayed this long starts to look like justice denied - or selectively applied.
