I am a stand up. I do tv warm up. And I run a thing called Belly Laughs which raises money for homeless shelters by putting gigs on in indie restaurants.

Best place to have lunch in Sunderland? Near the train station would be handy.

Instead of us being constantly disappointed by celebrities we should probably just start with the assumption that most of them are total assholes.

Very excited about two films just shown at Toronto Festival. American Fiction and Dream Scenario. Reviews make them both sound brilliant.

Watching @LongwellGreenFC The assistant ref just had to get a hat from the crowd because he’s got no hair and was getting a sunburnt head.

I’m doing this today. Page Park in Staple Hill. I’m not doing it, that would be madness. I’m hosting it. I have not got a clue what is gonna happen but it should be fun…or at least a unique experience for everyone (me) involved.

Gig in Gloucester. There’s a sheep festival this weekend. I asked what type of acts they have in, Beyoncé?! A woman shouted “Baa-yonce” which didn’t make sense. Someone shouted Lady BaaBaa. I went “Baa-bra Streisand” lazily and a bloke waited for the pause and said “Wooly Nelson”

Yeah, I assumed the list wouldn’t be “London, Birmingham and Crawley or Sevenoaks!!” It’ll come! I’m excited, some excellent stand ups involved. Thank you.

I was at the filming of Tipping Point when Barnesie was playing. It was amazing. And it’s no surprise to anyone that tv shows are filmed in advance. And it’s really odd that the show should go on the tv so close to the anniversary of Phil’s passing. Please donate. And share.

Oscar Bobb sounds like a nickname you’d give a mate because he dared to have a serious opinion about a film once

Thank you DTM. Yeah, it’s tricky. I thought findanyfilm used to be a thing run by the bfi. I fancy Scrapper as well. And if I cant find these then it’s literally Equalizer 3, Meg 2 or Haunted Mansion. And although I love Ben Wheatley I don’t think Meg 2 is the Kill List sequel.

When a film has a limited release is there a website that says exactly where that film is on? I’m travelling from Guildford to Tunbridge Wells tomorrow and wanna see Apocalypse Clown. My gig is late tomorrow night but I don’t wanna have to go into London and out again…

Replying to @muldoon
Oh, I work with them ALOT but they’ve also had a little change in personnel recently. And the tv side is a bit different from their live side. This comedy park is complicated.

I petitioned ch4 to bring it to Bristol but if that happens there’s a massive chance that his true identity as Banksy will be revealed.
Very happy to announce @Channel4 have commissioned a second series of Late Night Lycett, my live tv show from Brum that we premiered this spring. I begged them to move it to London (Birmingham is SO grey and DULL) but they insisted it ticks a load of ‘regional boxes’ and will give them ‘a leg to stand on if a drunk culture sec writes a think piece about us being London-centric.’ We’ll be back with a Christmas special and then a bunch of Fridays in 2024 where you can see me clutch a televisual tight-rope and inevitably say something that gets me cancelled for good. Telly gold! channel4.com/press/news/chan…
