I just spent three weeks traveling around Iran, and if it's okay with you I'd like to talk about how I found it? In some sort of Twitter thread maybe?
Do you know what, I was pretty baffled by this year's Edinburgh Comedy Awards nominees. My thoughts here:

It's true I'm seeing simply lots of comedy and letting you know the best ones. And this service is free! What a deal! You don't even have to accept cookies if you don't want to!
Comedy columnist Mark Muldoon returns to the Fringe, starting off his trip with John-Luke Roberts, Jack Ansett, Elf Lyons, Bella Hull, Geoffrey Asmus, Celia Pacquola, and Those People.

Sad this venue is closing. Fantastic building. Always got the impression they didn't have the marketing firepower to sell their Fringe-y programme, and never seemed to attract the big names that would sell out the venue without the need for any marketing

All those high profile crowd-pleasing policy announcements and barely any bounce in the polls 😬
The latest YouGov voting intention poll for The Times and Sky News, the first since Andy Burnham became prime minister on Monday, shows a similarly close race to our previous poll, with Reform UK on 23% of the vote, Labour on 21% and the Conservatives on 20%.
•Reform UK: 23% (no change from 19-20 Jul)
•Labour: 21% (+1)
•Conservatives: 20% (-1)
•Lib Dems: 14% (+2)
•Greens: 13% (-1)
•Restore Britain: 4% (+1)
•SNP: 3% (=)
•Plaid Cymru: 1% (-1)
•Your Party: 0% (=)
•Others: 1% (=)
Criticising a light entertainment TV show for being "unnecessary" seems harsh. Are you arguing the genre shouldn't exist?
Decent show. Format seems good, returning cast great. A majority female lineup for ep 1, too. Which is, well, a necessary corrective

It's true. I basically wanted to write about the weirdest comedy night I could find
