OPINION: Woman Representative Esther Passaris is losing sleep over what she calls gender-based political violence. Her fears are so grave that she recently summoned a press conference at the Parliament Buildings to accuse DCP boss Rigathi Gachagua of bullying female incumbents and aspirants. In her view, the former DP has ‘something’ against ladies. But having offered no evidence to back her claims, the County MP went for the victimhood card. Nevertheless, she was right that women politicians should be judged on their performance, not personal circumstances or physical attributes. Their challenges, society must admit, are variably unique. ow.ly/4jYr50ZRRAQ

Saboti MP Caleb Luyai Amisi has lately been generous with political innuendos but stingy with the truth. He has overtly claimed that Baba Raila Odinga asked him to form ‘Linda Mwananchi’ as an exit strategy, or Plan B, in the event the ODM-UDA union collapsed. standardmedia.co.ke/opinion/…

My column this week! But beneath @HEAhmedJiir’s joke lies the reality that perceptions about media firms and where they supposedly stand will be more entrenched ahead of 2027. @StandardKenya @MediaCouncilK Media should heed Hungary's cautionary tale standardmedia.co.ke/opinion/… #

OPINION:If there’s any doubt about Ms Pauline Njoki Njoroge’s place in our politics, then the torrent of reactions to her resignation from Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party on Tuesday settles it. ow.ly/y0tj50Zsv42
