I’ve finally found and uploaded a copy of our first film ‘Yndan an Fala - Valley Beneath the Sea’. Made 40 years ago on an old 16mm Bolex. We were kids! youtu.be/m2OnpLb6ihw
What a wonderful start to the day! Thank you @tinodady #TheTidesofKirawira is over 40 years old. How thrilled @VickyStoneFilm would have been 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you for making the Tides of Kirawira. I used to be a young Tanzanian boy who couldn't even understand language but I understood that film. Much love and respect. #AsanteSana

The view from rose-an-hale.org with a brisk north-westerly. Oystercatchers, choughs and ravens on the wing. Looking wonderful out there today.
When will we get a present-day confirmed sighting of a great white shark off Cornwall?
Their food is here and the ocean is getting warmer…
Interesting record of a West India Shark ( aka GW) in Mounts Bay in the late 1700s/ early 1800s - measuring approximately 20 feet.
The latest Rose-an-Hale blog post, a Cornish summer’s finale: rose-an-hale.org/post/summer…
The big pond at rose-an-hale.org. It’s only been in existence 4 months, but already we’ve had 2 broods of moorhens.
We’ve been inundated with painted ladies this summer - here is the story of one of them: rose-an-hale.org/post/the-re…
My ongoing project to combat biodiversity loss and create a living memorial to @VickyStoneFilm who loved these cliffs and took inspiration from them. rose-an-hale.org
Required reading - released by UK gov and effectively buried at the height of the Davos-Greenland noise. assets.publishing.service.go…
A really important article about the mortality post ‘catch and release’ in the recreational UK tuna fishery. For years we’ve been told it was insignificant - but the death of one in five hooked and released tuna is shocking.
Climate change has brought bluefin tuna back to UK seas and recreational and commercial fishing is taking place. My latest article in Fishing News is now online fishingnews.co.uk/features/b….
This is an important film. Congratulations to@abrahamjoffe instagram.com/reel/DOG-2DAiE…

Wonderful to see so many Manx shearwaters flying past Gurnards Head this morning. At their peak c. 500/min ie 30,000 /hr.
Wonderful evening spent in the presence of beavers and @Skentelbery for #CornwallWildlifeTrust’s @CornwallBeaver project. If we can do it for choughs, we can do it for beavers. #bringthemback
Didn’t see much for a mile this morning, then six 6 spot burnets appeared on a tiny clump of thrift!
Wonderful to see a small pearl-bordered fritillary this morning. They are becoming increasingly rare. Their larvae feed on violets and we’ve had swathes of them this spring, so hoping to see more of these wonderful butterflies next year.
I was fortunate to attend the royal premier of OCEAN for which @jaccadeeble was one of the u/w cinematographers.
It is the most important film I’ve seen. It is not too late to save our oceans - the solution is disarmingly simple.
I urge everyone to go and see the film.
