Chinese modernization and its innovation-driven development strategy are making important contributions to world economic growth and global sustainable development, said Marco Aleman @marcomaleman, Assistant Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization (@WIPO), at the opening ceremony of the ongoing 2024 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference held in Beijing on Thursday. Noting that China ranks 12th on the list of Global Innovation Index (GII) 2023, the only middle-income economy among the top 30 countries, he also pointed out that China is leading global countries in innovation as it has the most scientific and technological complexes in the world.
