"We've got a right brake that might be dragging," AMERICAN AIRLINES BOEING 787 REPORTS BRAKE ISSUE, BLOWS TWO TIRES AT CHICAGO O’HARE
An American Airlines Boeing 787-8 arriving from Barcelona experienced a landing-related technical incident at Chicago O’Hare International Airport on October 20, 2026, after the flight crew reported a possible brake malfunction.
🔹 Flight: American Airlines AA41
🔹 Aircraft: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
🔹 Route: Barcelona (BCN) → Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
🔹 Reported issue: Possible right-brake dragging, followed by two blown tires
🔹 On board: Reportedly 234 passengers and 11 crew members
According to reports citing the FAA, the crew advised air traffic control of a potential brake problem before landing.
ATC audio quoted by ABC News captured a pilot reporting that the right brake might be dragging. The pilots declared an emergency and brought the aircraft to a stop on the runway after landing.
Post-landing response: Passengers disembarked using stairs and were transported to the terminal by bus. The aircraft was removed from service for maintenance inspection, and the FAA is investigating.
The safe completion of the landing is an important distinction: a reported brake malfunction and tire failure do not, by themselves, mean the aircraft lost control or suffered a landing-gear collapse.
Investigation focus: Brake-system condition, wheel-and-tire damage, maintenance records and recorded flight data will be relevant to determining the cause.
Aviation safety reminder: A safe landing is the result of aircraft systems, crew procedures and coordinated ground response working together—even when a technical problem develops.

Riyadh Airport is open to traffic with prior permission, but so far no passenger flight has sought that permission. Since reopening, only private and cargo flights have operated at RUH. flightradar24.com/airport/ru…

Needs a big “JUST CERTIFIED” written on the side and a bunch of cans tied to the new landing gear.
Boeing’s redemption !
The MAX of the MAX family gets a 10, at last!
FAA certifies Boeing’s 737MAX10 - last variant of the MAX program and its largest one - Boeing expects deliveries in coming months.
Will this change the tide for Boeing? The watch begins.
Good news for bigger American airlines betting on this aircraft and have ordered more than 1500 of this aircraft type.
Air India too has a confirmed order for 10.

Certified: 🔟
The 737-10 has received FAA certification, marking a major milestone for Boeing and the development team that brought the final member of the 737 MAX family to this point.
✈️Strong fuel efficiency for denser markets
✈️Greater flexibility for airlines serving high-demand routes
✈️Commonality across the 737 MAX family
Congratulations to #TeamBoeing and our partners who developed the 737-10 over many years, and guided it through extensive testing, evaluation and certification. Thank you to our customers who are building the future with the 737-10 and 737 MAX family.

A routine four-hour journey between Riyadh and Kerala has turned into a travel ordeal lasting over 10 hours for some passengers, as they are forced to travel by road to Dammam or Bahrain to catch flights home.

Dismantling relatively new aircraft now makes more financial sense than keeping them flying🤔
Who would have thought!
What has scarcity of spares driven aviation to!
Cannibalising aircraft was once largely a recourse for financially distressed airlines. Now, with jets grounded awaiting engines and spares, lessors and aircraft owners can earn more by stripping them for valuable parts than by leasing out the entire flying machine.
What an interesting post and issue brought to the fore by this post @Turbinetraveler #aviation
The aviation industry's latest paradox: airlines desperately need new aircraft, yet some Airbus A320neos, Boeing 737 MAXs, and A220s are being dismantled for parts.
Imagine dismantling a 4-year-old Airbus A320neo!
It sounds crazy, but two PW1100G engines can generate around $400,000 a month in lease revenue, compared with $306,000 for the entire aircraft.
With engine shortages and maintenance backlogs driving prices up, breaking up a jet can make financial sense.

The brazen threats to my friend @ajeetbharti from a public platform are shocking and unacceptable.
Targeting him for his Brahmin identity and threatening to skin him alive is pure hate speech. Why is the person not arrested?
@uttarpradeshpolice and law enforcement must step in immediately and provide him adequate security. Absolute lawlessness cannot be tolerated in a civilised society.
I stand with @ajeetbharti & so must you!

Always remember. What is going on in Paris and Milan is what they wanted to do in Delhi. Arson and looting. The usual suspects in the press would have whitewashed it because 'it's happening in Europe too'. We don't give MHA and Delhi Police enough credit.

Mid-air ‘hijack’ alert activates security protocol in Air India flight
hindustantimes.com/india-new… – at Delhi, India
Apparently AI-2030 FRA/Del has taken off from Jaipur after aircraft and Pilot and crew were checked and cleared.
It is a mystery how the ATC heard the Squawk of 7500, when apparently the Pilot never squawked it ? I guess the Flydubai incident has made Indian aviation more particular than ever before.
PIC was instructed by Bom & Del ATC to divert to JAI and he did.
Looks like a matter for the @DGCAIndia to look into now.
