0 tax till ₹15 Lakhs - is probably too much, when there aren't much earning > 15 L
Would hope for
Till 4 L - 0%
4 L - 8 L - 5%
8L - 12 L - 10%
12L - 16 L - 15%
16 L - 20 L - 20%
20 L - 24 L - 25%
24 L + - 30%
25% wouldn't be there. but, Why Not !!!
The ideal income tax slab rates should be:
- Up to ₹15 Lakhs: 0% tax
- ₹15 Lakhs to ₹25 Lakhs: 10% tax
- ₹25 Lakhs to ₹50 Lakhs: 20% tax
- Above ₹50 Lakhs: 30% tax
Remove all surcharges and cesses.

I was seeing this old movie called Rann on Amazon Prime today. This movie was about media, news and stuff like that. It was made at a time when Ram Gopal Varma still made very good movies.
There is this one particular scene in the movie where Rajpal Yadav, who is hosting his own show, talks about debt, Karz and all of that. In that he references the Shubhash Ghai Rishi Kapoor movie Karz.
Now, as far as movie references go, it was normal.
What stood for me though, was the English subtitling of that scene.
It read, "The movie Debt, starring Helen Mirren and Sam Worthington"
The person who was subtitling this scene, didn't just do lazy subtitling, without any effort.
They actually cared about it.
They actually translated the word Karz, then looked up on IMDB for a movie with that name, and then referenced the stars of that movie in the subtitle.
The person behind the subtitle, actually put in dedicated effort on what was a throwaway line in a movie that nobody remembers. They did all of that just make it a little more right and appropriate.
The person who did this was truly passionate about subtitling, a job we think is boring and mundane. I mean nobody would have cared if they hadn't put in that effort, but they did.
So Hats off to whoever who did it
Because They truly care about the art and their work and wasn't doing it as a job or for a salary.
I hope and pray they have gone places and are successful in life.
The person who subtitled Rann ever reads this post, my eternal respect and admiration for you. Understand that someone actually saw your work and admires you for it.

- During the Kargil War, the Pakistani Army captured Captain Saurabh Kalia.
- He was subjected to 22 days of inhumane torture.
- His private parts were mutilated, cigarette burns were inflicted on his body, his ears were cut off, and his eyes were gouged out.
- After 22 days, his brutally mutilated body was returned to India.
And now, some mfs from India are attending Dhruv Rathee's protest in London, singing the Pakistani national anthem and celebrating brotherhood with Pakistanis, just because their favourite leader isn't in power.
These people should be ashamed of themselves.

There's a Garba event near my place that I've been attending for the past 3 days, and the organisers have laid down strict rules.
Garba starts only after the aarti, and anyone who wants to participate must be present during the aarti. The entrance is closed once the aarti is over. Everyone entering the event is given a tilak and a rudraksha mala.
There's even a separate space for elderly people so they can enjoy Garba comfortably with their own generation, while the younger crowd dances separately.
The organisers are very strict about maintaining the traditions and discipline of the event.
I've been attending for 3 days now, and so far, there's been no controversy, no fights, and no drama like we've seen at other places. Everything is running smoothly.
If Garba events were organised this way across the country, we wouldn't see controversies at Garba pandals everywhere.
This is not true. Chinese are among the tightest communities in the US, something I learned very early in grad school.
They had a solid system of cheating where seniors would give the new batch all homework problems and answers, exam solutions etc. All their homework and assignments were done in a group.
This continues later in the workplace as well.
Indians used to get together mostly around cricket, movies, hindu festivals and the such. There were definitely study groups, joint studies etc but nothing close to what the Chinese had.
Indian students in Michigan where I studied were also more likely to interact with others although both were guilty of socialising within.
The reasons for success of Indians in the US goes far beyond English. It is a direct consequence of living in an open, creative society versus a closed one.
In the US, Chinese immigrants earn less than Indians, rank lower, and even lose the food hype war. Here is why.
The English language comes first. British rule made it an official language of India, a colonial hand-me-down later generations cash in across American companies. H-1B visas go 70 percent to Indians, 12 percent to Chinese. Indian-Americans are now the largest Asian group and top every income chart. They have produced a Vice President, presidential candidates, and now New York's first Indian-American mayor. We have a handful of quiet representatives.
But the real gap is not talent. It is solidarity. Indians pull each other up the ladder. We grind solo, heads down, and say nothing.
So raise your head, organize, and speak up. That is the whole secret to winning a seat at the table.

I just got to know that in 1971 war, India captured large parts of Pakistan and returned everything, but Pakistan capturd 158sq km of Indian land which it was allowed to keep in Shimla agreement and is still with Pakistan.
What kind of idiots were ruling us back then?

Generally speaking, most Westerners can't wrap their head around Hinduism because their brains have been wired since birth to believe in a rigid belief system derived from an Abrahamic religion.
The same goes for Middle Eastern cultures.
I must admit, it's somewhat perplexing to me, too. Not because Hinduism is bad or wrong, but I have to constantly remind myself to free my mind from what I've known for over 60 years.
But the more I learn, the more I understand.
And the more I understand, the more I identify with it, as I've always felt that the denomination of Christianity I was raised in, Southern Baptist, was far too strict, and those who follow it with fervor are intolerant, contradictory, and hypocritical.
Hinduism feels more natural and belonging.
I will continue to learn, one day at a time.
🙏
The interviewer tries to challenge Hinduism by questioning their beliefs, claiming Hindu deities "contradict themselves," and insisting religion requires rigid adherence to a single scripture.
Instead of getting agitated, the youths calmly dismantled his argument, explaining that Hinduism is built on personal conscience and pluralism rather than rigid dogmas. "Hinduism gives me freedom to be who I am," one youth remarked, leaving the interviewer visibly stumped as viewers praised their mature handling of the interaction.

We know that cremation or burning of the dead bodies is very prevalent among Hindus.
Christians and Muslims usually bury their dead.
But in 2025 the cremation rate in England, Wales, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands combined was 83.23%. In a Christian majority nation!

He is the same person who made a Pulwama video with fake audio to blame India for the attack and never returned India after that.
Now he is reading the OCI card to prove that there is no written rule on the card stating that OCI cardholders cannot protest in India.
Next, he will say there is no written rule on the card stating that OCI cardholders cannot vote in India.
And guess what? Congress and Aapiya are using this video as proof. 😭😭
