Very honored to be a part of South Dakota’s 45th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner - with over 2,000 in attendance.
These men and women have been on the front lines of the largest crime reduction in American history.
Crime in South Dakota is down 7% from 2024 - a tremendous success saving lives. Working with local partners, this FBI has made 183 violent crime arrests in the region - a 19% increase, and seized 3+kgs of fentanyl, up 304%.
This @FBI is also heavily involved with SD law enforcement on joint ops like Operation Black Book, Summer Heat 2.0, and the largest commitment to Indian County in FBI history - Operation Steadfast Promise, nearly 500 personnel committed to tribal partners.
Thank you to my friend Scott Abdallah for hosting - as well as special guest Tony Dungy, Hall of Fame NFL coach and one of the strongest supporters of law enforcement in the country.

Rest in Peace, Deputy Sheriff Katherine Frank of the Minnehaha Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota. End of Watch: October 12, 2026.
Deputy Sheriff Frank served for over four years in law enforcement and is survived by her sister.
The FBI sends our prayers and condolences to Deputy Sheriff Frank’s family, friends, and colleagues left behind. They will have our full support.

This is what it’s all about. Pinch hitter Katie Hoffman with a two-run single for @SDCoyotesSB to tie the game 4-4 in the 7th.
The emotion from her and the coach saying “I’m so proud of you.”

My son left for College yesterday. I’m on my way out there now. I am not ok. This is the hardest thing that I have ever done. There’s a million emotions running through my mind just hoping I did enough as a dad to prepare him. I think that’s just human. I already miss the daily stuff we take for granted , getting him up for school, hanging in our garage playing video games , making him breakfast, etc. Be there for your little ones, soak up every moment you have , never say no and enjoy because it goes way too fast!

Any team that’s looking for a new GM.
Boy do I have a guy for you… yes, very good football mind, mmhmmm, yes, the greatest right hand man in the NFL, yup. Come get him league.
I mean please don’t, um, we need him in Minnesota. Yup you betcha.
Please fire somebody after this game. My vote is Kwesi and Ryan Grigson. Start the search for a new GM. This offseason has been disastrous!
The Vikings could have Ron Yary, Randall McDaniel, Mick Tingelhoff, Steve Hutchinson and Christian Darrisaw on our O-Line and KOC would throw it on 4th and 1.

1 -- That's one of the dumbest, worst INTs you'll ever see in an NFL game. What was Max Brosmer thinking?
2 -- Most importantly... Kevin O'Connell is the worst short-yardage play-caller in the NFL. This is not hyberbole.
Let's roll out your non-mobile, UDFA rookie QB, on the road against a fast defense, and see if he can get to the edge and complete a crucial 4th down pass. Beautiful work.
Or, you could run the ball.
