We have contaminants throughout our country and at the race track - IF one has no idea where it came from- your career is forever harmed - this is so wrong- We still are stagnant at “ getting” those that abuse horses and mask harmful drugs. There just is no common sense - I’m not sure we ever figure this out but it’s egregious

Horse trainer Angel Quiroz has been charged with a Presence violation (positive test) for albuterol, a Banned Substance, from a sample collected from the horse Bonita Rough on July 10, 2026 at Fair Hill Training Center, according to the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit.
Quiroz trained multiple horses that raced Sunday at Monmouth Park and Saratoga and attracted unusual betting interest. The races are now under investigation.

Ill save you some time - This gallant mare Shytoe Lafeet, now 23, found herself in a Kill pen in Miss - her last connections were Jay Adcock and Mary McFadden after they got 5 foals- in LA- it was one of her original trainers _ Larry Jones that is providing her a home- so my question is simple- how does the Jockey club and the LA breeders assoc simply ignore this??????

just do not know when is enough - enough? these older broodmares are beyond heartbreaking- Kate does not mention her La breeder but its Red River and Mary Mcfadden- 2023 2024 and 2025- all she did was spit out foal after foal - only now to be discarded-and now all of us need to make sure she is safe - ALL OF US---
Shytoe Lafeet is 23 years old… A stakes winner herself she was bred to the likes of Tapit, Lemon Drop Kid and Giant’s Causeway early on. She produced winner after winner. Her 2017 foal, named Saffas Day, earned almost $400,000. Her current 3yo, Lafitte’s Legacy, has won 2 of 5 starts and almost $60,000. Shytoe Lafeet gave birth to a filly in 2024 and a colt in 2025… at the age of 22. And now, at 23, she is at a livestock auction in Mississippi instead of living out her days in Louisiana, where it looks like she had been (and been bred) since 2018.
