Targeting 162,315 beneficiaries—including youth, women, returnees, IDPs, and persons with disabilities—this initiative will empower Cooperatives, Agricultural Producer Groups, Rural Producers’ Organizations and Village Savings and Loan Associations to become sustainable players in the value chain.

This morning, Hon. Josephine Lagu Yanga Minister of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) flagged off the first tranche of direct cash transfer payments under the Safety Nets for Socioeconomics Opportunities Project (SNSOP), also known as Shabaka Meisha Project.
Shabaka Meisha aims to support vulnerable households in selected counties with cash transfers and income-generating opportunities, while also strengthening the national safety net delivery system in South Sudan.
