.@POTUS’s Golden Fleet will maintain and enhance American Maritime Dominance, powered by three core principles:
1. Rebuild the Fleet: Delivering the most advanced and capable ships.
2. Revitalize Industry: Strengthening our maritime industrial base.
3. Reform Business: Changing how the Department of the Navy operates.
Under @POTUS’s plan, we will have the most tonnage under contract since WWII. The Fleet will be a high-low mix of platforms, next-generation battleships, and continued production of destroyers, carriers, amphibs, and submarines.

I have directed a new Frigate class as part of @POTUS Golden Fleet. Built on a proven American design, in American shipyards, with an American supply chain, this effort is focused on one outcome: delivering combat power to the Fleet fast.

During this government shutdown, the mission of the @USNavy–@USMC team continues without pause though not without challenges and uncertainty.
I am laser-focused on managing impacts, protecting critical operations, easing burdens, and championing your needs. We will keep support and resources flowing throughout this period of uncertainty.

At the company’s Defense News Conference, the journalists of @defense_news and @MilitaryTimes stood up for their rights.
📸 @SightlineUnion members wore red, leafleted and spoke out — showing the industry that it’s time for management to stop union busting and bargain fairly!

.@Defense_News and @MilitaryTimes journalists past and present came together yesterday to stand up for our union and fight for a fair contract! We made sure people heard us and our demands.
Thanks so so much to everyone who helped out and provided moral support. #UnionStrong

Today we filed the latest unfair labor practice charge against @Sightlinemedia protesting the full-time in-office mandate they just dropped. Please retweet this and tell @mortgreenberg, @kellyfacer15 and Regent to rescind this order and bargain with @SightlineUnion in good faith.

I love my country with all my heart and I've never been more embarrassed for America than the spectacle I just witnessed in the Oval Office.
Zelensky is fighting for the survival of his country, his people and their democracy.
Trump and Vance appear to be completely aligned with Putin, the invader whose aim has been to conquer Ukraine.
Zelensky should know that millions and millions of Americans still stand with him and his valiant people.

THE CUT THAT NEVER WAS: So the 8% annual cut that @SecDef Pete Hegseth was reportedly about to order at the Pentagon… turns out not to be a cut to defense at all. Instead, as my editor @AaronMehta wrote last night, the plan is to -reallocate- 8% of spending -within- …/1

NEW: Defense Secretary Hegseth has ordered senior leaders at the Pentagon to develop plans for cutting 8 percent from the defense budget in each of the next five years, according to a memo obtained by The Washington Post and officials familiar with the matter.

Yesterday Lev Kreitman, 35, was enjoying a drink at a restaurant when he heard gunfire.
The sound was incredibly familiar to Kreitman. Not only was he an army reservist, but almost exactly one year ago he had lived through the horrific terror attack at the Nova music festival.
Instead of running away, which no one could really blame him for, given the horrors he's already lived through, Kreitman instead grabbed his service pistol and ran towards the danger.
He shot at the terrorists, successfully hitting the gunman and bringing a premature end to their slaughter spree.
Lev Kreitman, your actions saved the lives of many, and you have the gratitude of countless Israelis.
Have a blessed new year, you deserve it.
