Notice: Helium network data just got an upgrade.
If you pull Mobile network data from the old S3 files, you’ll need to switch over before November 1, 2026.
The upside: the data is now queryable with SQL and free to read.

Managed services, wireless convergence, and a future where nobody’s checking their bars.
LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi. The tech fades into the background. As carriers focus on Quality of Service, seamless performance is all that matters.
Thanks @WBAlliance, see you at the next one 🤝

Colorado has something awesome called the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. Among other things, it protects a simple principle: everyone pays the same state income-tax rate. If your income doubles, your tax doubles. Seems reasonable, right?
Amendment 87 would repeal that protection and nearly double the top marginal state tax rate while modestly reducing the lowest rates.
Under the new rules, doubling your taxable income could mean a state income-tax bill nearly four times what you’d owe on your current income today.
To me, this looks like a blatant attempt to buy votes: the majority votes themselves a tax break funded by much higher taxes on a small minority.
And it hits startups especially hard. Founders and early employees often spend years building something before receiving a substantial payoff from selling their shares after an IPO or in an acquisition. A decade of work with no guarantee of success can produce a payout counted as income in a single year—and taxed at much higher rates.
I’ve spent a decade building Boom in Colorado, on track to create hundreds of high-paying jobs. Colorado’s tax fairness was one reason I chose to build here. Now voters are being asked to change those rules and take a much larger share of a potential taxable payoff from that work.
Should I have built Boom in Texas, which has no state personal income tax? Should the next ambitious founder choose Colorado or somewhere else?
Colorado is at a crossroads. Do we want to stay true to our OG spirit of rugged independence, freedom, and fairness—or make Colorado a less attractive place to build?
Punishing success is morally wrong and bad policy to boot. We should be celebrating the people who build new things and create new wealth for themselves and others. Their work gives us companies, products, and jobs.
Let’s keep Colorado as one of the best places to live, build, create, and innovate—and to enjoy the rewards of our hard-fought efforts.
I’m voting no on Amendment 87.

INSIGHTS⚡️ Helium sold the consumer mobile brand and refocused on being the wholesale network underneath other carriers.
That is a strategic narrowing. In our assessment, being infrastructure for AT&T-scale offload is a clearer job than trying to also be a high-street phone company.

Ensuring mobile users have quality service. Launching a new wireless service. Keeping every customer who enters your venue connected.
Different problems, one platform.
HeliumOS is intelligent software for any business providing connectivity.
It natively integrates with the Helium Network, the world's largest decentralized Wi-Fi network.
The future of wireless is cellular, satellite, and Wi-Fi working together, intelligently to deliver the best experience for users, where connectivity is needed the most.
HeliumOS is how we do that.
Thank you @TheFastMode for the write up 🙏

Ready. Set. Go.
@helium is joining several industry leaders in the real-estate and connectivity verticals to talk about the infrastructure improvement needed to improve customers mobile experience and potentially monetize existing Wi-Fi deployments.
Driving more rewards to deployers, while rewarding higher value locations.
Read the HIP and vote your preference!
🗳️ Voting is LIVE for HIP-150: Mobile Deployer Prioritization
This proposal is about aligning rewards to where coverage is most valued and making sure Hotspot deployers are rewarded in a way that scales with the Network.
Three changes, one vote:
📍 High-value venues can get approved for a rewards multiplier
📈 The deployer reward floor jumps from 50% to 80%, temporarily for approximately 1-2 years
🤝 Helium is redirecting rewards it would normally earn to instead top up deployer data rewards, through mid-2027 (possibly longer).
Big cell towers don't fit inside stadiums, hallways, or office buildings.
And that's where mobile coverage gaps actually live.
Talus Communications closes those gaps by enabling Helium on the existing Wi-Fi infrastructure venues already have.

This is where the @SpaceX mobile story gets VERY interesting for @helium . 🛰️🎈
Analysts are questioning how SpaceX can economically solve indoor coverage and deploy infrastructure across countless buildings.
Meanwhile, Helium has spent years building a model designed for exactly that problem: distributed indoor connectivity.
SpaceX brings the satellites.
Helium brings the indoor layer.
No partnership exists but the pieces fit together almost too well.
What if SpaceX doesn’t need to build the entire network itself? 👀

Satellites are the most effective way for @Starlink to cover the outdoors. @Helium is the most effective way for Starlink to cover the indoors. Wi-Fi exists—Helium makes it accessible, securely and with quality metrics. Trillions. 🎈
Replying to @KanekoaTheGreat
Far more than that.
As I’ve said publicly, bandwidth demand will increase massively due to AI & robotics. Their need for data transfer is orders of magnitude more than humans!
Even if the communications market merely doubles in size, I would expect Starlink to reach at least 25% market share outside of China (maybe one day in China too), which would be over half a trillion dollars in revenue per year.
It’s not out of the question that Starlink carries more than 50% of Internet traffic long-term, which would probably be over a trillion/year. There is no obvious impediment to that outcome so far.
Did someone say deploy as coverage needed?
"Shotwell declined to talk about the capex for deploying a terrestrial network, saying that basically, the gear that holds a Starlink broadband dish could house “these little femtocells” around the country and “you deploy that as you need it.”"
"You deploy as you need it"
"You deploy as you need it"
@helium deploys as it is needed

This has been patched. A relatively small amount of funds (36 sol) were effected as this only gave access to the SOL that crank turners use to pay gas for transactions. And most crank turners leave < 1 SOL. The largest crank turner (helium’s own) had not withdrawn profits for a long time.
No protocol controlled funds or crank rewards were at risk. Fortunately tuktuk is designed to have a fairly minimal financial footprint. Thanks to the Helium team for triaging and getting the fix out promptly!
If you run a tuktuk crank turner, please withdraw your funds. This is legitimate and I've reported to the Helium team + sent code to get this patched. Majority of the drain came from Helium's own cranker wallet. Sorry everyone, I'm not sure how this made it through audit. A separate crank service I'm building right now this was one of the first protections I put in place 😢
Looks like 36.6 SOL drained from the following wallets:
