Never has the concept of Liberal Zionism looked more absurd and contradictory. It almost makes you feel sorry for people who simply can't accept the evidence before their eyes that the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians was inevitable from the very beginning of Zionism. As Theodor Herzl wrote in his diary on June 2nd 1895: “We must expropriate gently the private property on the estates assigned to us. We shall try to spirit the penniless population across the border by procuring employment for it in the transit countries, while denying it employment in our own country. The property owners will come over to our side. Both the process of expropriation and the removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly.”

The Australian Greens have other things on their minds right now but respectfully they should be reflecting on this.
Statement of the Green Party of Ukraine
The Green Party of Ukraine (GPU) expresses its deep disappointment with recent statements by newly elected Australian Greens leader Senator David Shoebridge regarding the refusal to provide military assistance to Ukraine.
We sincerely thank the Australian Greens for supporting humanitarian missions and calling for a complete embargo on Russian oil. At the same time, we emphasise that refusing to provide defensive weapons to a country waging a just war of liberation is a dangerous illusion that plays into the hands of the aggressor, Vladimir Putin.
The Green Party of Ukraine emphasises:
Dogmatic pacifism kills. As part of the global environmental movement, we share a commitment to peace. However, pacifism in the face of a ruthless invader does not stop war — it leads to occupation and the destruction of an entire nation. Ukraine is exercising its legitimate right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
The absurdity of a “UN veto”. Senator Shoebridge’s demand that arms supplies be authorised through the UN Security Council, where Russia holds the power of veto, is detached from reality. It is equivalent to asking a criminal for permission to call the police.
Russia’s war is causing massive ecocide. Russian forces deliberately destroy dams, mine millions of hectares of Ukraine’s fertile black soil, burn unique nature reserves and poison Europe’s water resources. Environmental protection is impossible without protecting the people who live in that environment. The only way to stop this ecological catastrophe is to stop the Russian army by force.
Unity among the global Greens. Green parties across Europe have long recognised this threat. They are at the forefront of political forces demanding maximum military assistance for Ukraine. We call on our Australian colleagues to follow the example of their European Green counterparts.
The Green Party of Ukraine welcomes the position taken by Australian Senator Sarah Hanson-Young Senator Sarah Hanson-Young and those members of the Australian Greens who have publicly spoken out in defence of Ukraine.
We call on David Shoebridge to reconsider his position, listen to the voices of Ukrainian environmentalists and support the provision of defensive weapons to Ukraine. Only victory over the aggressor can restore lasting peace and security to the European continent.

A must read. Israel’s vicious, carefully planned, ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. From that great Israeli newspaper Haaretz. A cry of rage and anger that no Australian newspaper would have the guts to run.

A home theater installer has calibrated over 3,000 TVs in 12 years from $400 budget sets to $15,000 flagship OLEDs in custom media rooms.
He walks into people's homes, looks at their TV for 5 seconds, and can tell them exactly what's wrong.
He told me: "Almost every TV I see is running in the same mode Best Buy uses under fluorescent showroom lights. The motion smoothing is on. The sharpness is cranked. The eco dimmer is cutting brightness by 30–40%. And the TV is taking a screenshot of the screen every few seconds and selling the viewing data to advertisers. People are watching a $1,500 panel the same way it looked on the store shelf and that's the worst possible way to watch it."
He said a properly calibrated TV doesn't look "better." It looks like a completely different television.
He changed 9 settings on my TV in 15 minutes.
The soap opera effect disappeared. The colors became natural. Skin tones stopped looking plastic.
Dark scenes became visible. The TV stopped spying on me. And a movie finally looked like a movie instead of a daytime talk show.
"TV manufacturers ship every set optimized for a showroom, not a living room. Then they bury the settings that fix it inside 6 menus nobody opens."
Here are the 9 things he changed:

VERY INTERESTING - YOUR THOUGHTS?
📺Richard Nixon on his meeting with JFK after the Bay of Pigs. 🔥🔥🔥
In this rare recollection, Nixon describes being called to the White House just after the failed invasion of Cuba. He finds President Kennedy exhausted, frustrated, and unusually shaken — a man dealing with his first major public failure. Nixon recounts Kennedy’s anger at his advisors, the emotional weight of the disaster, and their frank discussion about what (if anything) the United States should do next. It’s a striking glimpse into the private side of two political rivals at a moment of real crisis. A fascinating piece of Cold War history told firsthand.
❓Does hearing Nixon’s account change how you view Kennedy’s handling of the Bay of Pigs? 👇

📺James Taylor talks about The Beatles, “Fire and Rain,” Carly Simon, and Carole King in this interview. 🔥🔥🔥
He looks back on recording around the time of the White Album, the personal pain that shaped one of his most famous songs, his relationship with Carly Simon, and the early days of helping push Carole King into the spotlight. Taylor is reflective and understated throughout — very much in keeping with the tone of his music.
A strong, wide-ranging conversation with one of the defining singer-songwriters of his era.
❓Which part of Taylor’s career do you connect with most — the early confessional songs or the later, steadier work? 👇

Netflix is quietly hoping you never learn how to reset their algorithm.
I did.
Your homepage shows you 15% of what you're paying for filtered through 3 years of autoplay, shared profiles, and one curiosity-click that taught the system you love true crime documentaries.
Netflix has 8,000+ titles. Your homepage shows 40-60 rows of the same rotating content. The other 85%? Buried. Not because it's bad because the algorithm decided it won't keep you watching long enough.
A data scientist who spent 4 years building recommendation systems told me: "Your Netflix isn't broken. It's poisoned. Every autoplay, every shared profile, every show that ran while you slept they're all still shaping what you see today. You've never cleaned any of them up. Netflix is counting on that."
5 steps. 20 minutes. A completely different Netflix in 48 hours.
Here's the reset 🧵

Netflix is quietly hoping you never type a 4-digit code into your browser.
I did.
There are 2,200+ hidden categories the homepage will never show you noir thrillers, cult sci-fi, tearjerkers, gentle British reality TV, witchcraft documentaries, deep sea horror, gritty courtroom dramas.
Netflix uses over 2,000 "taste clusters" to decide what you see. The algorithm shows you what IT wants. The codes show you everything.
You've been scrolling for 20 minutes saying "there's nothing to watch" while sitting on a library of 8,000+ titles organized into categories you were never meant to find.
Here's how to unlock them and the codes most worth bookmarking 🧵

My heart is with the people of Ukraine. For the past few years, we've dedicated this moment during The Rhythm of My Heart to the strength, courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people. I held a Staff meeting. An important achievement of our state and our weapons manufacturers is that Ukraine has reached the capability to produce such a volume of technologically advanced weapons that, in the long term, it can surpass Russia’s capabilities. Today, we focused most of our attention on this. We also spoke directly with the manufacturers about what is needed from the state, from administrative decisions and financing, to maximize all types of Ukrainian capabilities and ensure deep forms of pressure on Russia, on its battlefield capacity, and on its ability to drag out the war. This concerns primarily Ukrainian drones of all types, unmanned ground systems, our missile program, electronic warfare systems, and military equipment. This discussion today, held with the participation of weapons manufacturers, was a continuation – at the highest level of military decision-making – of consultations that have been taking place over the past few weeks at the National Security and Defense Council, in Parliament, and at the Ministry of Defense.
First, I instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense to focus on working with partners to secure additional funding for production. I expect concrete results – agreements with partners. Investment in Ukrainian production is an investment in forcing Russia towards peace, and our partners must see this as our shared achievement.
Second, the implementation of Ukraine’s long-range sanctions plan and medium-range sanctions has shown that limiting Russia’s ability to wage war depends directly on spreading among Russian social groups the sense that the war is directly affecting everyday life. Ukraine will continue its policy of increasing the cost of occupation for the occupiers and restricting Russia’s ability to finance the war.
Third, I am grateful to all our specialists who are developing our missile program, including work on effective Ukrainian ballistic and anti-ballistic systems. Today, we effectively reviewed capabilities and defined steps that will accelerate production, testing, and deployment.
We also separately reviewed the volumes and timelines for the delivery of air defenses that are needed on an almost daily basis. In the coming days, the key priority across all diplomatic work, all meetings and negotiations will be air defense for Ukraine. I am grateful to everyone who is helping. I am proud of everyone who produces defense capabilities for Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!
