Yeah, that's it for me. 🫶😢👋 micro.welltempered.net/2022/…

See you on Micro.blog or wherever humans gather online. Maybe check out omg.lol too. It's a fun and human-scaled and has a Mastodon instance too. jean.omg.lol

I'm on Mastodon: @[email protected]. I've been cross-posting from Micro.blog, but I'm going to turn that off and treat it as a separate platform with connections and interests that are more personal. Maybe. Where's the @TakeControl book for all this, @joekissell?

At times like these, I have learned to expect a spike in the number of people who try Micro.blog. I was unprepared for the huge interest in interoperability between M.b and Mastodon. Thanks to ActivityPub, you can follow Mastodon user from Micro.blog.

I'm in central Florida, looking after my dad and stepmother. It's surreal trying to explain to them why my workload exploded due to increased interest in @microdotblog. "So, Dad, let me tell you about the importance of having your own domain name..." 😏

Updated my guide to Micro.blog for people who used to love Twitter. If you have questions, DM me. I’m happy to give extended free trials to my Twitter friends too. micro.welltempered.net/2018/…

My Halloween hack is "turn off the lights so no kids come knock on your door," but I am a Halloween curmudgeon. Luckily @jamesdempsey is in the spooky spirit.

An open letter from my @microdotblog business partner to the new boss of Twitter, who thinks it’s important to have a common digital town square. Yes, but it shouldn’t be Twitter: “The common digital ‘square’ should be the entire web, with a diverse set of platforms.”

People think that raccoons are pests, but they would be happy to contribute if given a chance.

Here is a music video I always watch when I need cheering up. Maybe you need that too, so here’s the link. youtu.be/imndXBPoFKw I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since @TheDoubleclicks made “This is My Jam.” Thanks @LaserIsLaser and @AubreyCello for all the joy.

I appreciate @catlan sharing his hard-won experience. I remember when the Mac App Store first launched, it seemed like the answer to the wishes of developers AND users. I never buy anything mission-critical there now, unless it is the only option.

And now I’m adding all my #EEAAO movie tickets into my tax-deductible receipts folder, where I already filed my karaoke receipts. #notahobby

So happy to be visiting Port Townsend WA with my friend Laura aka @TheArtofHealth. I didn’t realize how much I needed a change of scenery until I got to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula.

Something new for me: I try my hand at programming a new streaming service. It went in an unexpected but entirely marketable and entertaining direction… 📺👩🏼‍💼

Am I right that you can gift a book from Apple Books, but not an app from the App Store? I remember gifting apps, a long time ago. 😬 A friend introduced me to Blockudoku, and I want to pay to make it ad-free for her! $5. It’s a good game. apps.apple.com/us/app/blocku…

It’s a tie for favorite timeline enhancer between these raccoons and the capybaras on @CAPYBARA_MAN.
