Stop lying. Or did you not have a chance to dig into this yet? Now a Direct Democracy that elects a Representative Democracy that actually does represent what the people want, that would be much better. Either way, let's get the Christian Nationalists out of power.
THE BARBARIANS ARE INSIDE THE GATE! We are fighting right now in Congress over whether we're going to maintain our status as a constitutional republic OR trade that in, dismantle the foundations and GO DOWN THIS DARK ROAD OF DEATH TO COMMUNISM. THAT is the question.

The U.S. Department of Energy has also recommended 78 degrees on days like this. Once this was noted on MS NOW, someone deleted 6,000 web pages on the DOE site. Good thing we have the Wayback Machine and printed materials going back years. web.archive.org/web/*/https:…*

Looking through the replies, it's easy to see who'll be the first to complain when their power drops out because they didn't listen.
New York: it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool. Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can. Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment. A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together.

But no, ConEd has advised 78 degrees in this kind of heat no matter what party was in charge. It's science, not politics.

Trust Republicans to not understand the electrical power system or intentionally lie about it. 78 is the standard ConEd has advised for decades to preserve the grid in such heat. Roughly 27% of the state's power comes from renewable energy, and it's growing.
It’s even worse than this. NY’s Democrats deliberately shut down the City’s main nuclear power plant, opting for renewables instead. Indian Point provided 25% of NYC’s electricity, but now it’s shut and so NY sweats. Trust a D to mess things up for everyone.

My father worked in electrical reliability in the Northeast region covering NY, New England, and much of eastern Canada for over 25 years. This is a standard message and target temperature that ConEd has used for decades. It's science, not politics, you jackass.
First AOC tried to come for your steak and ribs and now the Socialist Democrats are coming for your AC. This is the future that WOKE Democrats want not just for NYC but for South Carolina too!

Hey, @Apple, if I have kept iCloud Photos turned off for years, why would your latest update turn it back on without telling me? And why, when I try to reset this, would it once again obliterate photos instead of leaving them where I had been storing them locally?

Demolish it. Newsom is a jackass. Eliminate all trace of his nonsense. Build coalitions, yes, that's how we need to build, Gavin. Not gaudy, gilded monstrosities.
What to do about Trump’s ballroom? Potential 2028 Dems have ideas: “We’ll sell it piece by piece,” Gallego said “We turn it into a soup kitchen,” AOC suggested “Destruction is not strength,” Newsom said. “We have to be builders” via @DaniellaMicaela notus.org/2028-election/trum…

This is just sad. Not quite as sad as those taking it seriously. But sad nonetheless.
VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE ARE COMING UP TO ME, GAVIN C. NEWSOM, IN DC (INCLUDING A TOP REPUBLICAN, I WON’T SAY WHO!) TELLING ME “GAVIN, SIR, YOU ARE AMAZING. AS GOVERNOR OF THE FREE WORLD, YOU MUST GO TO THE WHCA DINNER. YOU WILL DO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT LOSER TRUMP!” VERY KIND! I WAS NOT PLANNING ON GOING… BUT NOW EVERYONE IS BEGGING ME BECAUSE I AM MAKING THE DEMOCRAT PARTY "HOT" AGAIN. WE’LL SEE. I AM VERY BUSY TONIGHT! THANK YOU! — Governor GCN

It's not only generic items but fewer items and smaller sizes, Kevin. The true comparison would be the identical number, brands, and sizes of items as last year's package. For those of us who actually shop at Walmart, prices are significantly higher this year.
Hassett: "On one of the Sunday shows, the anchor criticized the fact that Walmart said the Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper by about $10. And then he said, 'Oh yeah, but they substituted generic stuff,' as if having a generic something is a crime for ordinary folks! It shows how out of touch these people are."

One would think a treasury secretary would understand how cost of living works. The average salaries are much higher in blue states as well. Stop with the disingenuous gaslighting, @SecScottBessent.
Bessent: "You know the best way to bring your inflation rate down? Move from a blue state to a red state. Blue state inflation is half a percent higher."

Simple, @SenBillCassidy. Remove RFK Jr from office. You were the deciding vote to confirm him. That was clearly a mistake. This is not about Republican or Democrat. RFK Jr. is endangering everyone.
TAPPER: RFK Jr, according to his own family, is causing real damage to the health of the US. You don't seem willing to criticize him by name at all unlike members of his family CASSIDY: Clearly you want me to be on the record saying something negative. Of course it makes news if Republicans fight each other TAPPER: I don't even know that he's a Republican CASSIDY: Or whatever. I'm all about, how do we make America healthy?

Brawls at baggage claim? When? The only time I've seen people "berating" gate agents is when airlines screw up reservations. We dress for comfort in case of delays. You need to focus on safe, expedient travel, @SecDuffy, not false civility and performative fashion.
Duffy: "Trump talks about the golden age of transportation. But the golden age in transportation truly begins with you, the traveler. You have brawls at baggage claim, you have passengers berating gate agents. We have unruly passengers on airplanes. People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly ... And so we want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season: Help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

"Common sense"? Nonsense, @SecDuffy. You want people being nice? Then treat them with respect. Refunds when their travel plans are screwed up. No more excess fees for baggage or carry on bags. Take the consumers' side instead of corporations. Should we just smile more?
FOX: During the Biden administration, there was a push for greater passenger rights. They wanted to have airlines compensate people if there was a delay or cancelation. But that is something the Trump admin has said they don't want to do DUFFY: We took a more common sense approach to it

Maybe you shouldn't have voted to confirm a delusional conspiracy theorist like @SecKennedy.
I’m a doctor who has seen people die from vaccine-preventable diseases. What parents need to hear right now is vaccines for measles, polio, hepatitis B and other childhood diseases are safe and effective and will not cause autism. Any statement to the contrary is wrong, irresponsible, and actively makes Americans sicker. We need to understand the real causes of autism. Studies show there’s a genetic predisposition when a mom who’s pregnant is exposed to environmental toxins which can increase a child’s risk of autism. It’s deeply troubling that, according to HHS officials, they appeared to have canceled hundreds of millions in research on autism genetics. Redirecting attention to factors we definitely know DO NOT cause autism denies families the answers they deserve. We had two children die and many more hospitalized nationally from measles this year. Louisiana is experiencing its worst whooping cough outbreak in 35 years. Families are getting sick and people are dying from vaccine-preventable deaths, and that tragedy needs to stop.

There's nothing to parse, @SpeakerJohnson. He called for Democrats to be hanged. And aren't you supposedly a constitutional lawyer? Can't you parse such a simple statement? What detail is there to dig into?
Mike Johnson on Trump calling for Democrats to be executed: "Attorneys have to parse the language and determine all that."

People dress to be comfortable when they know they may be stuck in an airport or on a long flight, @SecDuffy. Civility isn't as important as safety or timeliness when it comes to air travel. The rudest people I've encountered while flying were all in suits and ties.
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel: "People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

Either @SpeakerJohnson needs to dig into the details or he's lying. Probably both, honestly.
Q: I guess I'm confused because the bill specifically says 'the AG may withhold or redact portions related to child sex abuse materials.' The survivors are comfortable with that. These things are actually in this bill. MIKE JOHNSON: They're not Q: It's up to the AG JOHNSON: No it's not! We're not making this up
